Grenades ARE quite useful while assaulting things. Throwing in a grenade before you begin your assault is... rather assault-like.

1. It's the only Gallente Grenade
2. It's wide radius is more than enough to make sure that you hit what you want and more
3. Its wave travels through solid objects as do all fluxes but coupled with number 3 it's incredible.
4. The Allotek Grenade makes sure no Shield tanks are left standing as long as someone has at least a your basic AV.
