Just a suggestion, I think many folks (most, I don't know about that, but many) think that the Orbital Strike is over powered.
Maybe make the everyone in the Orbital Strike Area eligible for damage. Both sides suffer damage.
This might make them less popular as a time saver.
I see it all the time. An Ambush or OMS is getting to 70 to 20 or 40 to 10 and the winning team drops an Orbital Strike or two on the other team. They just want to get to the next match, because this one is over or they are bored with the opposition.
Instead of actually finding the last remnants of the other team and taking the time to kill them, lets just blast them from on high, maybe get better opponents next time Or maybe they are trying to get 5-6 more kills and hit the 25 or 30 mark.
It's over used.

This is part of the reason I suggest we make a 5 minute Ambush. Everyone knows how long the match is for and no matter how many times you live or die the match lasts 5 minutes. An OS will just move the spawn point.
Also there are times where you have like 20 minutes to kill and this way you know that 2 5 minute games, plus boot up time and end of game time, will work. Instead of guessing on a skirmish or domination and hoping it doesn't last 25 minutes.

Are you telling me you think rounds fired from outer orbit, from a gun able to damage and destroy a large starship (bearing in mind a Frigate is roughly 50m along its longest axis) is..... doing too much damage to the squishy meat bag that is your dropsuit?

I'd prefer pub OBs to be solely EMP. Turns kill WP into assist WP, but only IF your team is on the ball, clears equipment spam and can hit through cover, meaning you can use your OB to soften up reds dug into a room or shelter. (I'm looking at you, Gal Research Supply Depot room.)

What part of ORBITAL STRIKE makes you think it's OP because i think it is pretty accurate if not under powered for what it is, but i do like the EMP idea it would be great to be able to clear out all the equipment of the people who like to just sit on rooftops.

OP is inaccurate. Over Used would be far more accurate.
As for the EMP idea, essentially make it like a huge Flux Grenade, this could work. |

If its overused, the increase the WP threshold so you get them less often.
Which is already planned for the next hotfix from my understanding.
