DUST Search - A seriously question for CPM

Most dev do get seriously jealous when they can't farm enough and may come off as wanting to tone it down, but the secretly hold in their hearts that one day they too will have 50k Likes.

Everyone wishes they could be more like GJR.

I think CCP needs to do a better job policing exploit abuse in-game. In the case where a defined bug is being abused (rather than just an imbalance), CCP should confirm said exploit, declare it publicly as an exploit, along with the penalty for being caught abusing it. It's probably quite likely if they had done so in previous incidents, there would be very few people who would've tried to use those exploits, as an account ban can be a very painful penalty when it can cost you the time you've invested in your character and such. Instead the mechanic should be changed to not allow that behavior, rather than banning those who take advantage of it. Its like people who took advantage of the clearly overpowered Logi bonuses back in the day and turned them into nearly unkillable suits. I can't fault them for taking advantage of a terrible mechanic, people will do whatever it takes the win. But the mechanic was changed (appropriately so) to disallow that behavior. I may not agree with it on a moral level because I don't really like using 'cheap' tactics, but that's more a matter of principles and not so much what's OK to do in game. EDIT: And to clarify, using a broken mechanic is not the same as glitching. Glitching is causing an unintended bug in the system which gives you an advantage over others. When you're literally breaking the game in order to gain an advantage, that should be a bannable offense. But abusing a poorly balanced mechanic is not. Like my ideas? Pokey Dravon for CPM1

As for glitching in-game however, I think there should be a punishment in correlation to how severe the glitch is. Punishments for something such as the Melee glitch, should look like this: First Offense = 1 Week Ban Second Offense = 1 Month Ban Third Offense = 3 Month Ban Fourth Offense = 6 Month Ban Fifth Offense = 1 Year Ban Sixth Offense = Lifetime Ban Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if CCP is intent on punishing those who do cheat, boost, or exploit glitches. And nothing of value was lost that day... -HAND
