topic question: how does everyone feel about these logi changes.? do they fix some problem with logi's i do not know of? whos for it? whos against it?
who's ticked off that ccp is even considering nerfing logi's more? |

What I don't understand is that the min logi is the best pure logi for repair its getting buffed while the others are getting nerfed.
Nerf amar logi sidearm so it can have more equipment for no reason Nerf caldari logi to be even more useless if it loses a low slot. Nerf gal logi by removing who knows what, it will still be better than caldari thanks to OP armor.
why not spend your time buffing the underpowered suits ie. Assaults, Cal logis, then worry about breaking the other suits.
I was under the impression ccp was trying to avoid buffing one side of the equation while nerfing the other side as that seems to cause massive balance issues that need more hot fixes.
Stick to overhauling one set of suits at a time, scout suits are already borderline better than logi suits at everything logi, let's not make logi suits obsolete because some moron thinks equal number of slots is akin to balance when low slots win marches.

EDIT: 3 closed beta players agreeing, WTF CCP- LISTEN TO YOUR MOST EXPERIANCED PLAYERBASE and probably the people that have spent more real life money on this game then many of the n00bs suggesting these ideas put together

I've been saying since old lose beta days that one of the things that dust lacked most was EVE<->Dust consistency.
On eve, the 4 logistic hulls repair, all of them have bonus on the remote repair modules, AND, something else.
This is why makes no sense that the only one that has a bonus on repair is the minmatar.

If they tweak the wp distributed by higher tier nanohives it might make callogi's more appealing. A hive that gives 80+hp to armor should be giving more than 25 wps. I wish ccp would bring back B-type dropsuits for players looking for a something that blurs roles like the amarr logi. They could even put them in the lp store to make them feel extra special.
Now that I think of it the gallogi should be getting more points based on how low the profile of the scanned enemy was. This would make using the focused scanner fun and the points would give good feedback to the scanning crowd. |

I just don't want to lose my sidearm. Amarr logistics are bad enough that we have a 'slot' devoted to an armor plate, complete with requisite speed decrease (slowest logistics suit in the game), but to take away one of the reasons we have that 'slotted' armor plate... why? Makes no sense to me. |

I think Logis are fine as is, bonuses, differences and all. I wouldn't turn down additional walk speed, though.

With scouts and heavies the way they are after 1.7 and 1.8 it seems that straight buffs to the medium suits make more sense to me. imho... adding a sidearm to caldari and doing a slot normalization that way makes much more sense. You have caldari and amarr as 'combat logi' suits with bonuses more oriented towards being near the frontline (uplinks and ammo) while minmatar and gallente logis would be more inclined to focus on their 'active equipment' using rep tools and scanners more in general and not being so inclined to need a sidearm. |

who's ticked off that ccp is even considering nerfing logi's more? I think its the dumbest idea ccp has created in a good while. It FEELS like the beginning of tiericide and that is my BIGGEST concern by far. I have 6 proto suits, none are logis and I think this idea is simply bad. |

My responses:
- Adjusting skills so they won't be limited to just one particular piece of equipment is good
- Slight speed reduction is acceptable although might be unnecessary (except it is for the the purpose of findin "the perfect" steps of suit speed between hvy-logi-aslt-scout)
- Amarr logi to lose it's sidearm.. A tragedy. One that makes one interesting suit lose it's non-op ability. Makes me really sad.
