Flying drop ships and I'm the only one in the ship , I land on some high area to forge or lay some spawns and I attempt to get out of the front since I am the pilot and alone but the actions force me to get out of the back .... why ..???.. I didn't switch seats and I'm using the controller as to be released to the front and that shouldn't be a problem since I am the pilot and alone and did not switch seats , but no I keep being released from the back threw the animations and needless to say I fall and loose the drop ship , the attempt to help my team and my calm nature .
I'm broke most of the time , I'm not like most who post on the forum who have multiple prototype suits and gear , I have no proto suits ... and gear I have some but ... my skill points are into my core , equipment , vehicles and weapons which help me to play my role .
I don't nor have I ever chased FOTM and I have played this game since the beginning of 1.6 until now so it hasn't been that long and I'm the type who believes that my core and gear comes first because placing inferior gear in a proto suit is useless to me .
I don't have much , have a plan and try to stick to it which leaves even less wiggle room . I try not to have skill points everywhere because like now , I have wasted points in places and items that I simply just do not use but had to , to compete at that certain time but now that the game has changed direction so many times in such a short amount of times ... these said items have become useless .
Why is it that these drop ships keep releasing me out the back if the pilots seat is in the front and the places that I land on have enough room to cover the front to the middle of the ship , so if I was even released out of the side I would be safe but the animation still takes it upon it's self to release me out of the back ?
This is just frustrating , like when forging on the ground next to a stationary truck for cover and all of a sudden I become stuck to the front of the truck and have to suicide to be released . Or getting stuck in a crevice that I can't get out of or on a fracking rock for all sake . Getting stuck on a rock ????
How does things like this go un noticed and why does it happen even today ?
I know that this might and should be in the bug report but I just wanted to get some from the general public to get some advice on how to not get released from the back of the drop ship . I have skill in drop ship operations so I'm not using militia and after a while this gets expensive and kills the feeling of even playing this game for me .
You would think that CCP would have given the infantry refund that should have been in 1.8.

Maybe it's by design? For a while, the DSes were running over mercs when they deployed if the DS was moving forward and down. Maybe this is to prevent the pilot from getting run over mid air as they bail from a burning DS. They should change this :)

IKR , yes they do .
I would land and sit for a few second , even hearing HAV's and LAV's around me just to make sure that the DS has landed and is settled just so it won't release me from the back but in most cases it still does and that's what I just don't understand .
The next hot fix should be a bug and glitch fix .
I became stuck to the front of a truck while forging and stuck on rocks and in groves numerous times and that just kills my sprit to play .
Thanks for the response I didn't know what you mentioned .

I read on here a while back the you exit a vehicle at the same point you entered, regardless of what seat you are in. I've never paid attention personally and it could have changed, but that's my thought on the matter. |

Thanks , I didn't know that either .
I try to do just that but it just doesn't work for me .
It doesn't happen all of the time but enough for me to notice it and it kills my ISK's and sprit to play .
It's like it releases me where I'm trying not to get out at .

Not sure about Dropships or HAVs but if your the driver of a LAV you always jump out on the left side.

I've never actually had this happen, so I'm guessing it's what Rizlax said, and the side you get on is where you get out. I'll likely end up testing this later on, it'd be useful for getting up onto certain ledges and such.
Oh, seeing as you use the standard dropships, is there a difference between them and militia, aside from fitting ability? I asked this before, but the only answer I got saying there was a difference was that the militia dropships align themselves.

I assumed it was design as there does not appear to be a pilot entrance to the DS, only the general openings on the sides and what appears to be a short opening inside leading to the pilot seat.
You enter/ exit the ship the same as any other team member.
Side note: i would like to shoot the pilot from that narrow opening inside the DS and a small opening in HAV's where we can kill that driver too, much like taking out a LAV driver. The smallest of hit boxes and immune to personal spash damage, but still an opportunity for a skillshot at a pilot
I am the cool.

It's good to have thinkers around me to expand and open my mind .
Edit : You are blessed to not have this happen to you because it is a pain in the @ss because it happens to me at the worst times always .
Even when I'm trying to be extra careful .
