I'm trying to have fun with vehicles but I can't! The majority of my Python losses are due to collision damage, by gently tapping another DS or a building.
I'm trying to make ISK and also to have fun driving a Methana, but it costs me 100k every time I barely tap a tank! I'm risking it enough when I try hunting tanks with my 20GJ Particle Accelerator, but I shouldn't have to be forced to switch to the boring and sometimes rage-enducing Gunnlogi with XT-201s to get the job done.
Just fix the damn collision mechanics. Gentle taps shouldn't be automatic destruction.

I dunno dude, seems pretty realistic to me. One time my brother bumped into a light pole in a parking lot going about 5mph, entire car detonated, parts everywhere, people running around on fire. At least the poor bastard died instantly. I miss that kid..

Agreed with you on the python, the collision damage is redick in comparison to the incubus. Try landing a python and watch as all your shields disappear (along with a good chunk of armor) by touching down what I consider rather softly. Then do the exact same thing in an incubus and watch as all your shields disappear but your armor maintains full!
I just don't understand why the python needs to take more damage from tapping things ( and I'm talking a VERY light tap here) than the armor version. It's the same with armor tanks, running into shield tanks (direct collisions, not the roll over) The armor takes FAR less collision damage and always results in the shield tanks death.
And on the Methana, no. I drive one quite often on my forge alt, and RARELY have a problem. Get gud at driving! Hell man, a lot of tanks I'm hunting go right for that LAV, attempting to run it over, and run it over they do. Then they get stuck on top of what they expected to blow up, giving me plenty of time to blow them up! Anyways, just attempt to AVOID those tanks totally.

Totally agreed.
Collision damage is ridiculous and way too high right now. LAV`s and Dropships need to be able to take way more of a battering before they blow up.

i think personally its not enough on Armour vehicles..
but sheild and Armour vehicles should both be at the level of sheild vehicles.
crashing mid air into something should be death.....but landing does need to be sorted. maybe more strength for the under carriage.
tanks also need to have some of their movement over terrain nerfed. |
