I sincerely hope that Legion is better, and I believe it will be IF CCP has been listening to the best ideas in the DUST forums.
But a few things I'd suggest:
1. A functioning market.
2. Bigger maps with more widely scattered objectives.
3. More maps with more sockets.
4. A full array of all racial suits, weapons and equipment.
5. Pilot suits.
6. Improved rendering at long distances (for us snipers).
7. More sniping perches in the center of maps, so snipers don't have to ride dropships to get to them.
8. Better quality mid-tier sniper rifles. 5 or 6 shots to down a fatty is silly.
9. The academy needs to last longer for noobs.
10. Increase the HP of turrets, CRUs and supply depots so we can't spam them to collect WP.
11. Remove third person from vehicles. If you want to run a tank or dropship properly you should need a crew.
12. Do not let vehicles auto flip.
13. Leave the vehicle deployment vehicles in the sky longer when they come in and depart. I want to try to shoot them down with my swarmers.
14. Increase the height redline for dropships. Having them escape swarm launchers while shooting upwards is a creaky mechanism.
15. Increase the time people can run behind the redline to discourage redline snipers.
16. Headshots with sniper rifles should be instant kills on all suits. Headshots with sniper rifles are skill shots and should be rewarded as such.
17. Much more expanded skill trees.
18. Moddable weapons. If I want to put a better scope on my sniper rifle, I should be able to get the skill and buy the new scope. If I want a faster lock on my swarm launcher, I should be able to get the skill and buy the new detector.
19. Increase the range of swarm launchers slightly.
20. Moddable suits and vehicles. If I want to give up one or more slots to get a different slot, I should be able to get the skill and buy the new slots.
21. Fix PC. Please.
22. When someone enters a vehicle it should take a few seconds for them to start the engine, buckle in and start moving.
23. Give racial suits a slight PG and CPU bonus when equipment and weapons of that race are used.
24. Consider causing a damaged suit to be slower, lose equipment function, slots, PG or CPU until it is repaired. Do the same for vehicles. The amount of damage for this to start happening should be fairly high.
25. Damage the suits of the driver and occupants if a vehicle flips or hits an immovable object.
26. Make it take a second or two for a player to switch seats in a vehicle.
27. Let me turn off the shield and armor indicators on reds and blues if I want.
28. Let me turn off the bubbles displayed around nanohives if I want.
29. Remove the extraneous lines and details on the sniper scopes.
30. Let snipers lie prone.
31. Display assists on the after action reports.
32. Stop making people changing suits at supply depots going invisible.
33. Consider making suit visors have different detectors (visible, infrared, motion).
34. Smoke grenades.
35. Trees and rocks. The trees should be destructible.
36. More types of aircraft.
I will probably think of more as time goes on.

I hope they don't transfer anything over for the games sake. Having players with 2 years worth of assets and sp will yet again kill the NPE. I have 30 mil sp and just over 50 mil isk and millions more in gear. If they gave me all that on day one, the NPE would just repeat itself. I would already have over 500 proto suits to start with. The only thing I need is a dust 514 skin for any suit to apply.
Although history has a habit of repeating itself.

I hope we can at least do the tournament setup stuff. Even lobby shooters can feel like a sandbox if you can tweak all the rules. |
