...wouldn't it better to also account for K/Dr together with total kills instead of just kills? I find it unfair that a player would get a win over someone who may have got close in kills but isn't as skilled as the losing player.

Aldin, I respect you as a player, but this is a very self serving request, knowing how high your KDR is...
I think that since it doesn't and you really want to win, you should simply sacrifice your KDR to get more kills... not like you cant recover... |

Looking at it from an in-universe point of view, why would a manufacturer let some bloke who bought like, 4 copies of their weapons and got a bunch of kills name a weapon Vs another who got a bit more kills and bought a few hundred.

Kdr means d1ck. Only to you. And I have seen your nerdy ass go to great lengths to maintain your 10 plus kdr. Including leaving unfavorable matches, and hopping in that Gunlogi when you start dying to infantry. Like the other day when after I killed you in your proto cal with mine, and then ran you over, lolz @that, you then hopped in your tank, not that the tank would work for the competition but it just goes to show what people do for their kdr. Now get your nasally, nerdy, whinny sounding voice out of here Kan and go lock yourself in your solo squad. |

I only leave matches when it's full of lag like last weekend and any vehicle on the map that kills me will meet my tank. Now be good and don't let me catch you away from your squad.

Honestly, I think the right to name an Officer Weapon should have been granted by a tournament. Nothing determines who's the most skilled by having a Controlled 1v1 against them.
A "who can get the most kills" event only shows who is the most lucky, has the most time on their hands, or can stomp the most scrubs.

I personally witnessed aldin cruising around in a lav freedom mass drive militia noobs during one of these weekends. I'm sure he was doing the same with the hmg. It's not hard to pad that kd/r when you drive away when someone is about to kill you. Scub tactics shouldn't count for this event either.
But I also saw Tibs running around with like five logis repping his Amarr Assault so everyone had been going turbo tryhard for this stupid event.

Yes cause how do we know that you're not going to get 5000 kills with the weapon, and then spend the rest of the time boosting your kdr
Besides, by requiring proto it means that only players who don't die a ton will actually be able to participate. Since anyone who is dying 15 times in a match to get 20 kills is losing a lot of isk. If you're not making isk running proto you're doing it wrong.

Oh wow, I see that the hate for me is still ripe on the forums. 
It would've been nice for the event to not reward better those with more playtime but I suppose it will stay that way.
