For me its 3-4 people,this is mostly when I am in a building where I have an advantage.If I play it smart,I plan to divide them if their are more then one.-Take them out 1 by 1,but 1st kill the stupid one.With Zn-something nova knife,or breach pistol.I can take on 3 people with my knives and 4 with the pistol.How many people can you take on

Depends how lucky I am. My games tend to be hugely inconsistent.
Most was I think 8 with an SMG from behind.
I am part shovel, part man, full scout, and a little bit special.

It depends provided I can use the terrain to my advantage I can take on a near infinte but steady stream of people.
I had a match once in domination they had control over everything bit the point, I held them off for 5 minutes, I got through 2 nanohives, all of my ACR reserves, all of my Ion Pistol and grenades before melee-ing 3 people to death.
I held it for so long that the rest of my team manage to recapture key points amd installations before getting back to the console in order to save my ass from a heavy.
If you meam like, your in open ground they are all firing at you, my record currently is 5.
Though 2 were Minmatar Scouts (one of which was cloaked), a mlt suit and a heavy using a forgegun, only 1 was any real threat.
An a amarr with a Scrambler Rifle.
My suit's a bit rusty, but that could just as easily be me!

Which one?  I find there is a tipping point, after killing so many people in short space of time, I just see red and enter some form of zen state. At the other end of it I feel physically exhausted, my hands are shaking and everything, I have take a breather or just sit in the redline for a few minutes while I cool off.
My suit's a bit rusty, but that could just as easily be me!

I have once encountered 6 Caldari with Rail Rifles that were suppressing my team mates at 80+ meters.
I however, was right behind them, with my Prof IV Duvolle and Proto Gal Assault.
Long range weapons vs CQC weapon
Also, flux grenade

At the same time? I can take on a whole group of infantry with my gunners in my python so long as the infantry are dumb and don't imediatly run for cover when my spotlight illuminates the ground around them. Honestly, it varies from merc to merc. I've slaughtered whole teams and struggles to fight a small squad. |

That's a pretty loaded question.
In the most ideal conditions most people could take on an entire team.
I think the most I've done by myself was 5/6, although lately it takes 2 guys and a blaster tank.....or just 3 organized people
