If you have it, then give it another go. Seriously. It's really good. I would take it into PC just for the Caldari Scouts and use it even if they stopped bringing them in. It has a really nice feel, and just try it out if you haven't already. Maybe...ask CCP to un-nerf it's range?

What is the range? Same as AR?
I have used it a couple times since bravo and was happy to actually get kills with it.
But what good is a tactical weapon if it is only good at cqc ranges?

I'm not so sure about it having an unnerfed range. It is a blaster after all.

Nah. I used it since it came out. But I am also enjoying the Plasma Cannon and the Scrambler Rifle. I just like the TAR since I am able to control it in CQC (the bad hipfire doesn't affect me anymore) and it deals with armor tankers a lot better than the ScR.

Even as a proficiency lv 5 SCR user, using the tac AR on my alt is extremely fun; its very effective, and no need to worry about overheat. Good weapon, even when compared to a SCR.

It is a hybrid plasma weapon, its range is appropriate. |

This weapon is trash compared to an SCR and I can prove it mathematically too, nothing is opinion based here.
Not that it can't do the job, but just like the prebuff AR, there are better alternatives.

I prefer the burst AR, I end up using the militia CR as a alternative to it if I dont have enough PG/CPU or if I am dying too much

Neither the SCR nor the TAR can kill a properly tanked heavy with one cycle.
The TAR physically does not have enough damage in the clip, even if you damage mod it.
The SCR is lol against armour heavies and you'll overheat way before killing it, unless you're using an Amarr assault in which case it's still quite possible that you'll overheat.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Yeah, but not appropriate if you want to compete with ScR. It is not a true alternate without longer range, therefore I'll use the ScR if i want tac.
