As the final candidate list has been announced, I am prepared to announce my official endorsements for CPM1. This is to say that it is my GÇ£dream teamGÇ¥ that IGÇÖd like to see elected, and why. These people are approachable, collaborative, and insightful. I do not always agree with them, but they are sharp, and I am confident they have sound reasoning and a great community focus. I will be more specific on each of them below, but they all have what I believe to be the core of a great community representative.
I want to preface this by saying thereGÇÖs many more than seven great CPM candidates, and should I be elected, I look forward to working with all of them. It was pretty hard to cut my list at seven names but I did not want to be unclear on who my top choices were. To my fellow candidates, I want to emphasize that not making my list does not mean I donGÇÖt like you. There are a few candidates I really havenGÇÖt heard enough from to be able to decide how well theyGÇÖd do on the CPM or they are not as active and persistent as IGÇÖd like to see.
I am listing these candidates in the order they will be on my ballot. This means, I am the first on it. While I hope I am the first choice on many peopleGÇÖs ballots, I want to point out that all of the candidates I placed here are great candidates and if people have different priorities than me, shuffle your ballot around. Do the research yourself, the CPM are there to represent you. I hope my endorsement serves as a launch point for who to look for.
1. Soraya Xel - I have an extensive thread on the multitude of reasons you should vote for me at the top of your ballot, so IGÇÖll just say that I am hugely devoted to the console community we have here, I love interacting and communicating with the playerbase, and I am bringing a lot of technical expertise with me.
2. Cross Atu - It is hard to summarize Cross, because he excels as a great candidate in so many ways. He practically lives in the feedback section of the DUST forums (over two thirds of his posts reside there), and he is a fountain of information on the game. He is also an excellent and clear communicator. I think very few will disagree that he has earned his place on this list.
3. Pokey Dravon - Pokey Dravon excels in the big picture/high concept stuff. HeGÇÖs created some pretty stunning flowcharts to map out game mechanics, and he has a great overall view of systems. HeGÇÖs friendly and sociable, if a bit quiet at times, and heGÇÖs been a great part of our podcast, Biomassed.
4. The Black Jackal - My list canGÇÖt forget to include the Thunder from Down Under. Jackal has been one of the really stand-out candidates for a long time. His loquacious posts (for the layman: long-winded wall of texts) have been actually really great explanations of topics that maybe arenGÇÖt fully understood in briefer posts. And if you want detailed and informative updates on what goes on inside the CPM, I think heGÇÖs going to be a great resource.
5. Zatara Rought - Zatara, despite having been considered somewhat controversial at the outset, has proven himself to be an incredible candidate. Zatara has an incredible amount of experience on the more competitive end of the game, but is able to look at the game and itGÇÖs needs as a whole. Zatara has been grilled with some of the toughest questions of this campaign season, and has come out on top. I am confident heGÇÖll make a great CPM.
6. Aeon Amadi - Aeon has, I think, a great grasp on some of the lesser-discussed issues for enhancing the player experience. One of AeonGÇÖs key points is for greater localization, to help our foreign players receive better support, which is indeed, of great importance. Furthermore, Aeon is one of the strongest advocates of bringing EVEGÇÖs volunteer program, the ISD, to DUST; a worthy goal I hope we can work together on.
7. Iron Wolf Saber - Despite his controversial posting style, it canGÇÖt be denied that IWS takes the collection of forum feedback and constant participation in the forums seriously. IWS has a wealth of knowledge and experience. His knowledge of the lore of New Eden is unmatched, and I feel that it is truly important to have an incumbent member of CPM0 on CPM1.
I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate

With the quality of candidates in the pool, I would be perfectly happy filling CPM2 exclusively with people who donGÇÖt get into CPM1. Or said anther way, there are at least, if not more than, 14 people running who I think would make fine CPM members.
That is certainly a decent list. Many of them will be on my list as well.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

I said this much myself. Several candidates didn't get far enough in setting themselves up as great candidates, but that doesn't mean they're bad candidates. I hope to see people who don't get a seat this year still trying for next year. There's a whole second CPM worth of great candidates running.
I'd like to be your CPM1 candidate
