I havent played assaults recently, but the amarr assault is probably the best.

The gallente assault is beast. Awesome fitting layout.. Challenged fitting resources as in CPU and PG sadly though.
But that suit doesn't even need an assault rifle to be amazing.
Caldari Assault has an arguably better slot load out.. That reload speed is beast.. but has same issues with PG and CPU amounts.
Amarr Assault - admittedly the one i have little to no personal experience.... If you like SCR, you will like this suit.. But it's niche as the mobility is limited when all armored up. Can quickly become scout food because of it and scouts hating SCR's more then anything.
Minmatar Assault... Not a competitive suit... But by far the most enjoyable suit.. Some would say it's THE most enjoyable suit in the game.. But it just can't stand toe to toe with two equal opponents against any suit other then a Minmatar scout. Your using tactic's and flanking to even get any performance out of it. |

Same can be said for the Minmatar assault bonus magazine: lets you fire more shots before stopping, functionally the same as the Amarr's bonus which lets you fire more shots before overheating.

Your problem is posting "Assault" by that logic you want to know what suit size is best for slaying. If your leaning toward medium frame the Gall logi, Amarr Assault, Gal Assault and Cal Logi are good candidates for the medium slayer status.

I have been playing the Minmatar Assault M/1 and rarely the Mk.0. The M/1 is perfectly fine with a good squad. Solo, all the assault suits are terrible. But with a good squad and when you know where the enemies are it's a lot of fun and it's pretty good with the tank and speed (actually really fast).
I think the mk.0 variant is pitiful and laughable. I die way more in my mk.0 suit than I do in the m/1 suit. Not sure why that is, I am here thinking I was stronger or w/e but I just get owned in the proto every time. When I go advanced I feel like it moves faster and overall has better tank (even with less eHP).
So yeah, Minmatar is pretty good if you like to move around like a scout but have the tank/firepower of an an assault.

Amarr Assault I would say.
Highest CPU/PG allowing you to fit nearly everything (if not everything) proto and the best bonus out of the four races.

I was in the war. Caldari Assault with 3 complex shield extenders, 1 complex energizer, 3 enhanced armor plates, proto rail rifle, basic smg, basic flux grenades, and a compact nanohive to repair. That's 977 hitpoints with 464 hitpoints in shield recharging at 52 HP/s.
EDIT: But yeah...Amarr Assault is the best...

Obviously scouts come first but....
Amarr is the only assault worth using. All other assaults are inferior to every suit in the game.

Min-Assault. The clip size increase for ACR gives a HUGE advantage to total damage per clip (DpC). You can empty a clip very quickly. Now add 25% more bullets if you are proto.
Slot layout is very nice at 5 highs and 2 lows. Tons of versatility for Damage mods, shield tanking, biotics with shields, etc. CPU/PG is nice. Fastest medium suit.

I see y'all favor the amarian but one problem, my minmatar blood could stand to be that close to amarian tech without shooting it :)
Was thinking about the min assault but it can't do anything my min scout can't so I was wanting to change it up.
On a serious note I think the amar would be way too slow and the gal wouldn't be much better. My min heavy can out run both of them. So that leaves caldari or minmatar.
So what's the pro or cons between caldari and minmatar assault?
To note, I know the assaults will be getting some love which is why I'm considering them.
