Polite notice to all New Eden mercenaries: QUEUE THE HELL UP, I can't count the amount of time I've had to leave a squad and eventually turned off my PS3 due to people never queuing up! Almost every single public squad I am is just a bunch of people sitting waiting whilst the squad leader makes himself a ham sandwich! |

Squads are weak.
K/D(r) WP/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game. Period.
Seriously. Think about it.

Public squads are a joke anyway, just a bunch of asshats pooling WP for an orbital while not actually using any teamwork. Usually with the addition of being deafened by needless talking.
That's why I've just been playing with my headset around my neck recently, and disabling voice chat unless I'm in a squad I'm familiar with. Being able to actually hear what's going on helps a TON. Hunting snipers by the sound of their gunfire, hearing a scout's knives stab a nearby teammate, etc.

yeh im thinking of actually getting down to some good solo play putting a decent pair of closed back headphones on and playing around with the settings so I can finally be satisfied with the sensitivity, you can be so much more competitive with enhanced awareness. Being in a squad wouldn't detract from that though (ideally they would generate more flow in battle), I love playing solo but sometimes, for matchmaking purposes, I have to be in a squad. |
