so get this right.
partical cannon base damage 1696.50
times that by four you get = 6786.00 you can only times it by four because you will over heat on the fourth shot since hotfix bravo and this goes for the accelerator as well as even just the basic 80gj rail gun.
militia 80gj rail gun
base damage 1305.00
times that by six because you will over heat on the sixth shot.
it equals 7830!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sure you can do more damage faster with a partical cannon but what if you miss an ont kill the other tank before it kills you? :) I ont know if the dev just forgot to put large railgun heat cool out for 8.00 to 6.00 like all the others or do they want milita tanks to be the preffered tank for everyone now? lol well ill tell you this I put away my partical connon on my gunllogi an switched it with a milita railgun just for the fact I can shoo 5 shots at a time now ^-^ its raiseing my wallet and giving me a better advange over most tanks at the cost of a little extra damage bust see for all you mady rail scrubs out there who might so " oh well my tank is built way stronger then yours so haha ill own you" yeah.... that's what allot people think but im not your common gunnlogi. I have 4835 armor on mine with a nitro injecter an two complex railgun damage amps so there is no running away now you here? (: riving left an right with your own nitro injecter wont help you like many think because my rotaion speed is at 4 so best of luck to you. anyways my main point is was this intended? or did you gun want me to have a cheaper tank? eathir way thanks :D |

Yea I read his fit and thought scrub . If you want to armour tank then it has to be a maddy. Those dammage mods will have a much harder time cutting through my complex heavy shield extender and double complex hardeners than my particle accelerator or cannon will have cutting through his armour. And totally any missile tank will make short work of his build.

Yep. I did the math on this the other day and resisted the urge to post anything about it because everyone hates tanks in Nerf 514. Especially CCP.
I understand that it takes more time to kill but those extra two shots can come in very handy.
Also the Adv rail also overheats after 4 shots just like the proto.
Expect another nerf. |

My favorite tanking moment:
I was in a blaster/Maddi going up against two other tanks; I destroyed the first one and the other, a rail tank, was trying its best to take me out. I did the kamikaze charge at his tank and ended up driving right on top of him, where we just sort of sat there in a "Is this really happening?" type of moment. I patiently waited for my reps and reloading to finish as he tried to dislodge me, until finally he tried to fire his rail gun at me but only succeeded in blowing himself up while I was unharmed.

DPS = Damage per second.
What you are talking about could possibly be called DPOH or Damage Per Over heat. But if you only need to fire in three round bursts that Proto will never overheat. |

I was flipped just recently in a tank v tank fight but I was able to recall mine  even after being pushed which cancelled my recall hack almost halfway through.
