What is yours? I've made some wit the basic frame since it's faster than the sentinel, so I speed tank it. By the way, if you haven't already tried it, using the forge gun with a speed tanked min heavy is beast. Seriously. No need for the PLC if you wanna be fast because you have a forge gun lol

Oh **** I totally forgot they fixed the cpu/pg on the basic frames
I go for damage mods and sprint mods if I don't care about dying... If I'm looking for a more survivable suit I'll go extender + energizer, but I'd had more luck with the dual damage mods. Replacing a sprint mod with an armor repairer is a much better option too.
Putting plates on the thing doesn't help at all though. If you were to do that I'd suggest proto ferroscales or a single complex plate...but the extra HP doesn't do much for you considering that other heavies are just gonna wipe the floor with you.
As for the type of HMG it all depends on the fitting. If you're going for speed and you know you'll be jumping all over the place, use the burst HMG. If you're more of a strafing person and rely on your reps, go for the standard.
In terms of forge gunning, you want pure damage and speed. Nothing scares a tanker more than a forger than can decently keep up with the tank while also being able to strafe and jump around all crazy-like. A profile damper helps to keep the tank guessing where you are, especially if they have a scanner. __________________________________________________________________________________
Some things I haven't tried:
Dual complex profile dampeners (would it even help? the natural speed of the minmatar makes for a perfect suprise/flanking heavy)
All rep fit (energizers and armor repairers while strafing like a mofo)
Shield tanked proto fit (3 complex shield extenders or two and an energizer to compete with the caldari sentinel)

Sentinels need 2 damps to reach 45 DB, thus hiding from Assaults and Std Scans.
To hide from a Mlt scanner, 3 damps are required.
I remember making a fitting that used 1 Cx Kin, 1 Enh Regulator(shield), recharger and extender.
It's the only Min suit aside from commando, where the bonus to speed isn't completely nulliied by the Caldari's extra low/superior passive scans.

On the M/1, 2 Complex Kincats, at least 1 Extender, other high up for grabs, Burst HMG + Breach SMG if I'm solo-ish or attacking, regular HMG if I'm squadded and digging in. I haven't tried 2xCDM + Burst yet, might be fun-but-oh-so-squishy. You'll take a LOT of people (especially other heavies) by surprise by outrunning and outmaneuvering them.
Reality is the original Rorschach.
Verily! So much for all that.

I do 1 complex kincat, 1 complex reactive, 2 complex shields and a heavy damage mod on my sentinel mk.0. You get butt raped by amarr sentinels and super tanked gal sentinels 1v1 if the environment isn't to your advantage though.

If I were to truly speed tank my Minmatar heavy (fat chance, thanks to absurdly high SP requirements for just basic KinCats), I'd fit it with one complex armour repper and a KC. With Minmatar suits, you often live one the edge, so having your armour up is helpful. That, plus Damage mods in the highs.
Such a fit, with say, a burst HMG, is a bit of a glass cannon, but you have ALL of your HP regenerating. It allows you to live on the edge for a bit longer.

I just came back after an extended Hiatus, and have been running the M1 Sent with 2 Extenders and a Complex KinCat/MH-82 HMG. You can't stand around, but it is oh so fun to flank a squad and watch them scatter like cockroaches when I begin tearing into them, then persuing and cutting down those foolish enough to believe they are fast enough to escape!

Damage mod, shield energizer, armour rep and kin cat on an Adv Min heavy.
Adv Burst hmg and a sidearm of choice. The suit itself was crap, but for me this was basically a Burst HMG delivery system.
Ever flanked a squad with a burst HMG?

Ever flanked a squad with a burst HMG? The suit is not crap. Just the thought of regularly jumping thanks to it's oh so fast stamina regen and the kin cat speed, this thing is deadly. I always put a energizer with the kin cat. It kinda balances it out

Once again, speed tanking isn't real unless you're fighting something with a turret on it.

I was running KinCatz on mine, then I realized that NOBODY will Rep the dude running AV. So, my FG fittings are Damage and Reps.
I still use KinCatz on my HMG Mintinels, but I use the AHMG and try to flank the back of a zerg (which won't attract any Logis either, FWIW).

Do you prefer the AHMG to the BHMG? When I flank and catch the backs of an opposing squad, I prefer the AHMG (and Fluxes) and using as much range as possible to allow myself to find cover when necessary. Too close, and even the Mediums see me on TacNet. That's no bueno.
My Boundless is pretty much restricted to Armor Plated builds, like my gK.0 - for frontline engagements and opening a path for my blues(or if I know that I have a solid Logi that will actually run with me)
