Just curious, because on Line Harvest I killed a certain someone on the pipe camping B with a Mass Driver from what most people refer to as the "table top" in the center of the map's 4 objectives. It was by far my longest kill that match, and my end of battle data said that kill was from 92.7 meters.
Also, anyone know at what range your PLC rounds disappear?

I was in the match with him when he did it... I was even trying to fire mass driver rounds at the same person.

The second half of the clip that is. Not exactly another player, but it was about 200m. Would a person even be rendered at that distance?

He's not saying he shot a guy at said range...there is plenty of time to run away after such a long distance shot, who knows what his true range was but it certainly is around the maximum.
My best was around 180,4 which seems to be around the maximum range including the arc as Cat Merc mentioned judging from other reactions. |

^ This is BS.. was this person a squad leader by any chance? prob had an OB..reason why its BS is because the ball of plasma would have exploded before this distance. Try it- grab a PLC next time youre on the bridge map, see where abouts you can hit domination Alpha

You realise that if you walk away from a projectile after it's shot it still counts towards the 'range' listed on the kill as it only tracks where you were and where the target was when the kill was registered. He wasn't the squadlead - I was and all he was running was commando with AR + PLC, so the AR getting the kill isn't a possibility.
I'm also very aware that the plasma cannon projectile disappears after 200m, but if the readout is saying 236 because you turned around and walked away after firing it *it still counts*, so yeah, 236.4m longer than its actual range because the guy was able to confidently walk away after a single shot.

Nah. Like 70m in 1.6 when the arc sucked. I haven't tried to shoot someone from afar since.
