For some odd reason, this has happened twice in a row now: The instant before I kill someone with a laser rifle, my PS3 freezes and I have to shut it off.
Anyone else getting this? Guess I better reinstall again...
Was really having fun trying the LR out for the first time since it was buffed. I got plenty of kills so it wasn't happening every single time, actually happened near the end of both matches.
CCP, I thought I was going to start liking you again. I really did. Then you announced this event.

Yeah i've had this one happen a few times no idea how to reproduce it it happens quite rarely for me, I had wondered if it had something to do with multiple lasers hitting the same target, but I was recently in a squad where by chance 4 out of 5 of us pulled out lasers and the bug didn't happen for anyone.

as I just got one hard freeze myself:
- 6 men running with lazors
- me *possibly* getting a kill shot on target
- target (light suit) at 10% armor
- aim dot touching hand
- heat bar at full, 40 shots remaining with no skills, 34 armor left myself so probably dying as well
Full hard freeze,PS3 button not working, slim PS3 with SSHDD, 9 months old install of dust., M+KB.

People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

Yeah it completely stopped happening when I reinstalled, but it was very odd like the moment of an enemy dying from the LR is what would freeze the game...

Its funny you say this, It was a week or two ago but I had this exact same thing.
Just as I had melted someone with the LR the game crashed and it was stuck as a picture, pixel perfect of the final moment as I killed that guy.
Had to hard reset the ps3.

Ditto here as well with freeze and hard reset.
If I recall it was on the 23rd and the 24th (one each night) 9:00-10:00 P.M. EST
I have not had to re-install Dust since 1.6

No, I didn't notice it happening that way.
It was literally the instant my LR was "hot" enough to kill the enemy and the shot was lined up.

I have a pic, this time using the burst HMG in hfC! I think its something to do with the overheat, and getting a kill assist; is this an information overload or something thats too much and freezes the PS3 so badly it needs to go into a system restore? CCP Rattati please advise.. thank you.

I have this problem repeatedly with the burst HMG. It has happened at least a dozen times. I have more than a few screenshots, but all of them look just like the one Sum1ne Else posted above -- it occurs at the time the HMG overheats. I have not noticed the kill assist at the same time, but will pay attention to this going forward. |

Usually happens if I kill with a laser rifle right as it overcharges. Seems to freeze right before the animation that signifies I've taken damage. |

Ive had that one happen once or twice in the past but not recently.
Strange. Its amusing though because both times it happened to me the person I was shooting was half way through rag dolling when they froze haha :D
