I did so last week. I'm now skilled into all racial rifles and gal/am/min commandos. It's added some much needed spice. I'm usingSw with theCR. Rampages of death and destruction.

Yup u r right , the CR has high RoF & longer range & damage. Its more comfortable than the AR. |

It's because your duvolle doesn't get a prof bonus to armor.

I was using the duvolle and so far its alot better. I melt scouts and heavies with in seconds. CR users can't stand a chance. Gallente FTW!!! The other factions can Suck it.
MAG Raven vet 7 times. Favorite weapon F90 and Highest Kills 78 and 23 deaths.

Clearly you don't know how to use the CR JIMvc2 because a basic one still murders a Duvolle thanks to its range and excellent bonus vs armor.

With all the Caldari scouts running around lately, I've actually noticed that the Plasma Rifles handle much better on the field than they used to. Yea, they got buffed, but the amount of shield scouts almost requires one to spec into either the PR or ScR's to stay alive.
Nova Knives are best sidearm.

This is down to the fact the Burst Combat Rifle has the broken burst firing mechanic that, with 6 bursts a second, allows a DPS of 500.
Paired with the projectile damage profile giving a 5% bonus over the other rifles and suddenly you have a Burst Rifle that
Fires as fast as the fully automatic version
Has the traditional Minmatar Range
Has the highest achievable DPS
And a scope
2 things need to be done to fix this
1) The Burst Delay needs to be lengthend so their is a 4 burst per second cap on the fire rate
2) The projectile profile needs to be changed to either
+5%/-5%
or
+20%/-20%
As for the ACR it is statistically the worst Assault Variant rifle.
My suit's a bit rusty, but that could just as easily be me!

I personally find the Duvolle>any CR in CQC, as its easier to strafe with, higher mag cap, and is full auto. Personally, i think the ARs are in a good place right now, as well as the CR. BTW the allotek burst finally outDPSes the boundless 
The only problem with the AR is the armor bricking meta, but with Cal scouts everywhere, its beginning to become a LOT more viable
