CCP please read this, this is what I have experienced as an assault player. I am close to 50 Million SP have over 42K kills and over 4 million WP's and have several suits and weapons maxed so please read with an open mind.
1. Not enough base Ehp need at least another 50-100 Shields for Cal or Min/ 50-100 Armor for Armarr and Gal
2. Not Enough CPU/PG I am maxed in a lot of skills and near 50 Million SP so if I am having trouble equipping my suit and making it proficient something is wrong or I just suck. Anyways the suit needs around 10-15% increase in CPU/PG. As a Cal Assault I love my bolt pistol but have you seen the PG requirements. It was made for my race but I have trouble equipping it do to the high demand just like the Rail Rifle.
3. Passive scans. I was almost on top of a heavy before he even showed on my passive scans. I have all my skills maxed so why is it I cant even pick up a heavy that is less than 10M that is firing at my team mate? Need to change scans to at least 40 for profile and procession. Not trying to compete with scouts but I would like a little more situational awareness.
4. Better Assault bonus's I for one hate the Cal Assault. Reload speed, really when the weapons I carry take less than 3-4 seconds to reload. Here is a list of Assault Bonus's that would work
Cal Assault 2% Shield regen per level/ depletion 1% Cal weapons damage increase per level
Gal Assault 2% Armor regen per level 1% Gal weapons damage increase per level
Armarr Assault 2% Speed/stamina recharge rate per level 1% Armarr weapons damage/ overheat protection per level
Min Assault 2% shield regen per level 1% Min weapons damage increase per level

Amarr assault bonus is fine dont mess with it but yeah the whole sneaking up on us is dumb I swear they use damps....

Assaults are meant to use all weapons(except heavy weapons) so they can adjust to any situation. That's why I don't understand the bonus being specific towards one faction's weapons. Like say I have a cal ass proto give it a 5% DMG/ROF increase for all weapons so the bonus would still work on the scrambler or an AR not just the RR. This way assaults can adjust to any environment. Just my opinion.

Criticism coming from someone in Nyain SAN is laughable. If I followed the FOTM like your fellow Corp members maybe I would have higher stats.

Yeah, not being able to scan a nearby heavy is wrong. My assault suit has better hp than my scout, better regen, more damage, similar speed... even looks better, i like it better, i want to run it.... but still i stick to my scout. EWAR is the meta, sadly. |

I think you're on the right track here, but I'd say it goes further than base stats. I'd like to see Assault suits get the most module slots of any class. Here's my idea for Assault suits.
Not just a laymen, but the laymen.

I have used Cal Assault for forever and 2% seems a bit too low. 10% total isn't much, it is less than a MLT shield recharger. 4% sounds nice because it is near a MLT shield recharger (20%)
Cal scouts have a lot more regen and a lower delay which makes them far better for engaging then ducking in cover for a few seconds than a Cal As.
Plus Cal scouts have complete EWar superiority over the Cal As.
Cal As. should have the regen that the Cal scout has if anything because the Cal As. is suppose to assault and fight in the heat of things. They can't hide like scouts can or have radar visuals like the scout. So if they can't hide as well and avoid fire, they should at least regen faster.
As for the other assaults, I use Cal As only so I won't get involve with something I don't know extremely well. |

The only thing the amarr needs is more base hp and a cpu/pg increase to compete with scouts.

i have ran a gallente assault and caldari assault and the biggest problem i have found is HP regeneration. a scout can use speed to completely get out of a area if he is being shot but an assault speed only gets him to cover now you only have a couple seconds behind cover before your next gunfight is going to happen. so if your HP would come back to full faster that would go a long way to help the assault suit. the reload speed on my caldari assault for a rail rifle is stupid because the rail rifle is not a strong gun in PC. i skilled into the caldari assault and rail rifle before the rail rifle was nerfed so that fit is left pointless now.

I'd like to see them all have double bonuses for tank and gank, but probably on the module rather than inherent.
Amarr: keep current laser weapon bonus, 3-4% efficacy to armor plating OR 10% reduction to plate speed penalty per level
Caldari: Reload speed is actually good if you use RR or Snipers, but maybe increase it by a couple percent; alternatively, improved zoom fidelity or kick? Tank bonus 4% efficacy to extenders and regulators, maybe all shield modules?
Gallente: keep current plasma weapon bonus, 5-6% efficacy to armor reps (including reactives, if possible) per level
Minmatar: keep clip size bonus (though I might expand it to MD like originally proposed, honestly, as they are still underused), maybe 5% efficacy to biotics OR 5-6% to recharger/energizer rate?
I also agree scan radius + precision needs reworking across every class, really, but Assaults in particular are a little *too* blind.
Reality is the original Rorschach.

Regarding not being able to scan a heavy at 10 m, I think that has to do with some glitches in the scanning.
Its the same thing that allows tanks to not show up on tacnet even when they are in your range. Reducing the profile that much won't fix the problem and just creates new issues.
But you are right in that the heavy should show.

I have over 34m SP and I play my game. I don't need buff or nerf. I need more time to play... I have 3kids and almost any free time. But when I play, I use every cal stuff and try to enjoy! I have some ISK so I play always with protoshiiiit (yes, I suck). Please, let's tryhard!

Sadly I was able to tank more and have more speed with my Dren scout vs my Dren Assault. I am using these as examples for they are basic tier 1.

Both. It has to hit hard to fight heavies and the EhP to seek cover due to lack of speed IMO.
