Only to like 1 mil. It would give new players a little bit more of a head start. Usually mmo type games make it easier to level up as the player base gets older so that new players don't feel so far behind. 1 mil really isn't all that much anyway but what do you guys think? |

I'd be fine with it. I'd also like to see new players get higher weekly caps at a 2x rate(at least) so they could catch up at the very least.

I'm not against it, but it's far from necessary if the whole game starts out balanced and stays there.
K/D(r) WP/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game. Period.

I agree, as new players need all the help they can get. Not to mention that 1m SP will only give you the basics, such as:
- 1 STD Rifle
- 1 STD Niche Weapon
- 1 STD Pistol Weapon
- 1 STD AV Weapon
- 1 STD Racial Medium Frame
- STD Grenades
- STD Armor Plating
- STD Shield Extenders
- STD Shield Regulators
- STD Active Scanners
- STD Nanohives & Injectors
This may seem like a lot, but when you compare it to players who have even 5m SP, it's really not. All it allows is the ability to fit a STD Assault Dropsuit with all STD gear (with variety between equipment of course).

Raising the starting cap is a bad idea. Newbies will just spend it all on the assault rifle because they have no clue how the skill tree works.
Maybe a booster that is active until X amount of SP that regular boosters can apply on top of.

And then that is fair to the guy sitting at 5million SP right now, that grinded for it. Nope not the answer.
Start them at 1 Million and let them grind like everyone else has had to do.
This video explains it all.

I'm all for it. The starting SP is pretty useless, especially with so many completely useless and/or unnecessary "skills" soaking up SP before you can even access anything (I'm looking at you, basic frame skills). Would need to give everybody a bonus 500k if it's implemented, though, to not screw over anybody who'd created a new character shortly before the change.
Reality is the original Rorschach.
Verily! So much for all that.

The total amount of passive since 5/14/2013, should be the starting SP for newbs.
Only makes sense.
Though today, I would recommend a hand comes out of the TV and slaps any player who tries to start a merc on Dust.
