This generally comes up in conversation with others. Most people tend to have this belief that Amarr society is this very strict no-fun zone religious fanatic environment, but that is not at all the case. It came up again today and I finally decided to do a bit of quoting from Templar One.
This comes from Chapter 2, in a vision by Empress Jamyl I of her home city of Xerah, Mehkios deep within the Throne Worlds.
"People were starting the day, which promised to be a gorgeous one. Vendors opened doors to shops along a boardwalk as a group of teens ran across the beach, surfboards tucked under their arms. Deeper behind the beachfront, hovertrams arrived at platforms to take passengers inland, and Reclaimed laborers worked alongside drones building a new park on the waterfront."
Additionally, here is a neat little short story on Amarr symbolism that also gives a brief look into Amarrian schools. Notice how it is very loose and relaxed, not very uptight.
Just thought I'd share with anyone interesting. Amarr society isn't super strict and oppressive as you may think, we just want to shopping at boardwalk malls, catch a few waves, and chill out in class. 
Amarr are the good guys.

i sometimes fight for amarr. at least as their slave i have a proper toilet. you dont even want to ever see a minmatar bathroom- imagine a truckstop bathroom with a lot of duct tape/the plumbing problems border on the unimaginable.

She looks just like Charlie Chaplin now, but with a combover and without the hat.
