Hi, I use the advance gallente logi all the time and I'm happy with my setup. However, I also have the proto version but, because I don't use it enough due to the cost I haven't been able to find a good for for it. Here is my current proto setup
On the left:
3 complex shield extenders or 2 complex shields, 1 damage modifier
On the right:
4 advance armor plates 1 advance repairer (still working on getting the complex one).
My complaint is that this fit is too slow. Even though it has way more armor than my advance it doesn't feel as survivable. I mean for the cost of it. What would be a better fit? Should I change some of the plates to ferroscale? How about two repairer mods? Any suggestion along with the why of that fit is greatly appreciated.
For reference purposes here is my advance fit.
On the left:
2 Complex shield extenders 1 advance damage modifiers.
On the right:
2 complex armor plates 1 advance repair mod (still working on getting complex).
For those interested I run various fits with different equipment but, I use the following one the most 1) BDR-8 repair tool 2) basic injector (the repair tool takes care of the armor repair. 3) A-45 scanner (works really well even after the nerf) |

I have proto Caldari and Min logi suits so our methods might differ but here's my two cents. I fit 2 range amplifiers, an armor plating and an armor repair module on my low slots then on my high slots 2 precision and 3 shield extenders. I'm not sure how many high slots are available for Gallente. The reason for this is besides well dampened scouts, i can pick up almost everyone on the radar, and that helps me personally stay alive a lot longer then if i add extra armor. A plus is your squad will know who you see as well. You can rep and know your not gonna catch it in the back. And you will be very light as opposed to a full armor build. I tried the full armor and shield fit like you did and it just didn't work for me. Anyway might not be your style but just a suggestion. I think logi suits are the most flexible suit so you can try a lot of different play styles with them. |

My Gal Logi is straight forward to scan. Healing is secondary. If you want a faster logi proto a Min Logi.
My gal proto fit is something like: 2 complex shields 1 proto scan 3 complex armor, 1 complex rep, 1 complex dampen Scanner, Hive, Needle, Rep Tool AR Flux grenade |

Wow you're doing it SO wrong.
"It's too slow" Then don't use so many plates! -_-
This is a GALLENTE suit we're talking about. Ferroscales are your best friend, or a combination of plates and sprint mods...but the most important thing here is having at least two complex repairers. I would personally run 2 plates and 3 reps, but it's really a playstyle thing.
If you wanted to stack armor plates on your suit you should have picked Amarr. And who the heck puts damage mods on their logi >.> Scan precision is a better option, but the two extenders are fine.
The way you play the Gallente suit is to pop up constantly out of cover after regenerating for a few seconds. Unlike Caldari, the Gallente can constantly rep even when being fired on...just don't get caught in the open to take a lot of alpha damage or the reps will be for nothing.

My old GalLogi was Rep Tanked. Now with the buffs to reppers, I miss the concept. I'd suggest running around with a number of Complex Reppers (minimum 2). I never liked to be too slow, so, I tried to stick with Advanced Plates and Complex Reps. Get hurt a bit, duck into cover and rep at some impressive speeds (even more impressive now). Also, Scanners, run Scanners.
Now this is just a quick throw together fit. It will just tip the PG scale at 100 as long as you have GalLogi to 5. The weapon is a placeholder, as the Viziam is one of the harder to fit weapons, so, you'd probably have more to play around with depending upon what you normally play with.
For the stats (with Passives maxed):
168 Shield 533 Armor 22.75 Armor Repair Rate
That's ~24 seconds from no armor to full. I'd play differently
168 Shield 467 Armor 30.13 Armor Repair Rate
This suit also just barely fits, this time on CPU. I go from 0 to 467 in ~15.5 seconds.
I know the Precision Enhancer seems strange, but, it can help in finding what direction would be best to scan next. Also, added shield seems kinda pointless and another damage mod isn't my style, might be yours though. Just never, ever, use a Complex Damage Mod, no point now.
Again, these are just quick throw togethers as I no longer have a Gallente Logi (though I am considering it if we get a cool event soon). These are similar to my old suits (though with way better armor rep due to the buff). Dropping a Rep for a Kin-Cat could be beneficial, I ran them quite often as well. And as Shay said, though in a corp with not enough - in my opinion, Ferroscales are a very good option now instead of the regular armor plates. I haven't been running much armor, but on my main Logi suit I have a combination of Reppers, Ferros, and Reactives to keep me alive.
If you find an issue and I stumble upon your thread, I will do my darnedest to get the issue known.
Also, Raptors...

My Current pro gal logi fit, be gentle
Highs: Complex precision enhancer Complex damage mod Complex Shield regen
Lows: Complex range extender Complex Armor rep 2x Complex armor plates basic cpu mod
Weapon: Pro Assault Combat Rifle
Grenade: Pro Grenade
Equipment: Pro Scanner Pro Needle Pro Nanohive Pro Repper
I love this suit. I can do amazing things with this fit. I can see enemies before they see me and light them up for my squad. I can keep 2 heavies alive under serious incoming damage and if they do go down, they're coming back up with high armor

High - 2 precision enhancers for scanning most players, this helps your squad also. 1 shield extender just so you have a split second to react.
Lows - 1 armour repair, 1 range amplifier, 2 ferroscale/regular armour plates.
Equipment - 2 scanners, 2 triarge hives.
That's what I'd do but it's all down to how you want to play and all that should be at complex.
I will spam your face with aurum proto.
