I was just playing a round last night, when I encountered an unscrupulous bunch of people "Rebellion LLC" or something of that sort, who had queue synched to both sides of the battlefield. Anyway, they had been wandering the area in a group trying to farm Warpoints and ISK by repeatedly killing and Injecting anyone they found from both sides. I was laughing to myself, as my KDR was less than 1, and the suit they were popping was MLT rank.
There is no possibility for one to press the suicide option as when you are rezzed it knocks the screen away, as well as you cannot choose a spawn point by mashing X then O to deploy, because there is a delay in selection, which then allows the abuser to simply revive the target an unlimited amount.
You should be able to simply terminate your clone immediately from the bleedout screen by pressing the O button. OR Give the option to choose to revive. (with a timer of course)
ALSO
If you are rezzed by a Needle, it should not count as a death, because you never actually died. For those who do care about a "competitive KDR" (my apologies, I fell out of my chair laughing at the concept) this would give a far more accurate metric for them to uh... "associate".

Add, "Press [triangle] to terminate your clone." to the bleed-out screen. Solved.

Or, you can only be revived if you call for one.

From what others have said in the thread:
- Allow a clone to be instantly terminated by pressing the Gū¦ button
- Only allow for revives if a player calls for help with the X button.

This I take issue with.Atiim wrote:

Instantly terminating your clone is all the agency you need to prevent unwanted stabs. Clone termination costs not only your own resources (ISK) but also team resources (clones). Clone count can lose/win your team a match in skirm/dom and does win/lose your team a match in ambush. Any action that has the capacity to adversely affect match outcomes should at least require active user intervention.
We actually had a similar scenario in 1.0(i think). The icon would only pop up if you pressed X. Barely anyone cared to ask for help and both logistics and tactical depth suffered from it so it was changed back to the current state.
As a compromise I suggest:
- 2 seconds rez-lock unless you ask for help so no one can stab you before you had the time to make a decision.
- Another second before the needle icon appears unless you ask for help so that logis are not sprinting towards you only for you to terminate right as they reach you.
You can take a benign object, -you can take a cheeseburger and deconstruct it to its source...

If you're bleeding out you can still see what's going on in front of you. Also it's not hard to hide and wait for a chance to kill the both the medic and the revived player. Also the field of vision is small for the dead player and you still can't look around.
Hud blocking the players view shouldn't be a meta to get easy kills. |
