Lately, the main problems I've been seeing are TTK (when even a commando dies in half a second, you have a problem), and the over-prevalence of sentinels.
Here's my wishlist
- Across-the-board damage nerf of the racial rifles and HMGs
- Assault buff- I like the idea some dev mentioned somewhere of raising their regen stats and giving them more of a bonus to their perspective weapons
- With that, widen the effected weapons of assaults; minmatar need a bonus to mass drivers, caldari need a bonus to swarms, gallente need a bonus to plasma cannons, and amarr need to stop bitching about guns you couldn't overheat if you tried.
- Nerf to clip size of HMGs
- Swarm rebalance: more range, less damage
- Plasma cannon buff to reload speed and/or projectile speed
- Quafe everthing. But keep my quafe cool by making the new quafe the ****** barny-purple
- A more efficient blueberry-extermination technique than the current toaster
- Add a sprint speed increase to the amarr assault skill

Those sound reasonable, with the exception of getting the Amarr to stop bitching.

I don't like the idea of nerfing TTK further, at least not for the rifles. Most CQC-type weapons can make a TTK similarly short to the rifles; I don't see too many issues there. I also don't think HMG needs a large nerf.
What? All three of our guns?
One that overheats in 15-25 shots, and the other that deals 250 damage when you do?
GTFO.
Also, no more buffs to Amarr Assault, at least without touching the rest of the assaults at the same time.
It's already the best assault suit with only Minmatar coming close; no need to overbuff and make it the only assault worth considering.

It's already the best assault suit with only Minmatar coming close; no need to overbuff and make it the only assault worth considering. Shotguns and knives have short TTK because you need to get much closer than with any other weapon.
Even gallente assault rifles have pretty long range compared to shotguns, yet the DPS difference isn't as significant as the range difference. This holds true for the rest of the racial rifles, and HMGs, as well. My thing about the HMG clip size is that it shouldn't easily devour squads anymore. It should require backup.
