Anyone who kills me with an ion pistol over this weekend can have 5 mil. Send a mail to collect.
I don't think I've actually been killed by one yet, and that makes me quite sad.
As a friendly reminder, the charge shot will be pretty much worthless against me as I rarely have under 300 HP. I recommend normal semi-auto operation.
This may be a slightly inventive way to boost my KDR.

See, at least the bolt pistol was actually useful for something (i.e. it fit a specific role that other sidearms didn't have)
but the Ion pistol is just a crappier version of other sidearms :/
I think it might actually be somewhat useful if it had a bigger clip, but the ADS is absolutely terrible on that weapon (maybe the only weapon in the game with dispersion while ADS?)
Also, what sever are you playing on
and does it have to be entirely with the ion pistol or can I weaken you with something else (like a PLC :P) first?

I never play on the EU sever though. Hopefully I can remember

I just went 14/9 with dual pistols on a scout
and most of them weren't militia suits...mainly advanced scouts and such
As long as you're not armor tanking a suit it's possible I guess. I was having a real tough time with heavies. It took multiple attempts and several charge shots to actually do anything to them.

I usually get one kill with ion every match run with a basic minmatar logi with two kin cats 3 kinds of uplinks anf an ion pistol first thing every game run to objective and theres usually a scout that gets there justt before me in time to eat a melee and a charge shot

Like the way you don't say if you'll be running pistols. Poor guys come at you with pistols, BOOM out comes the damage-modded Viziam on the 800HP Amarr Assault, 1-0 Arkena. |

Ion pistol optimal is 20m, shotgun's is ~4m. Ion pistol does outrange the shotgun, but it does laughable damage with a ludicrous hipfire spread, has an overheat mechanic which randomly kicks in sometimes even if you're not charging the thing, and also did I mention the stupid hipfire spread? Because the hipfire is wide enough to miss a medium at 5m.
Scrambler pistol is better in practically every way.

If I end up in a match v you I'll send you a message with the map coordinates of where we shall fight. I'll tell my squad to go find kills elsewhere, you do the same, and we'll meet up. In fact, if you want, we can start off with dual ions on an uplink fit so we can go all match. I love a good 1v1 regardless of the terms or opponent.
I've had some really epic 1v1's lately with ScP's, NK's, PLC's and shotty's, so I'm all for some 1v1 action. =D
(also had a hilarious melee 1v1, but dude switched to a heavy halfway through....)
