after fanfest i was really ticked off ive never raged at a game in my 30 yrs of gaming 'yes im old lol ' . after hearing changes they were made i couldnt believe it and wonder why it took soo long to listen to us .
This game had the drive to make battlefield look like candy land . exp to make you better , invading planets to hold land , grouping ppl just for style of play .i loved it .i think it was eve that hurt this game . it was even said most eve players didnt like it . i dont like legion nor will i play it and will continue to push ppl off it on other forums in a more conscious manner. Over all the new dev has done a awesome job hotfixs feel spot on to what we have yelled about for over a year now GJ ratta and team |

You speak the truth. CCP really screwed the pooch with the way they handled the Legion announcement--had they saved it for a different part of FF and simply let Dust have it's own moment, they likely wouldn't have received such backlash--and this resulted in many vets/elites/corps leaving the game. Too bad they didn't stick around another month to see the great changes that Ratta and co. have implemented by taking the simple approach of focusing on what's actually in the game currently. I can only hope that enough positive word-of-mouth is generated amongst the players to lure some players to come back.

Company values seldom change, except if the upper management and board of directors is completely replaced.

The thing CCP should of done from the start?
It's only one guy out of the entire company, and it took half the community quitting to get him to speak up.

In a word, yes. After putting up with broken promises and highly unbalanced gameplay, Ratta and co. have realized that the best thing for Dust was to fix what they have instead of trying to revolutionize the game.

...and he's done more for this game in one month (going from the 5/16 announcement) than in any of the previous year or so that I've been playing.

Not at all. Would I go out and pay $60 for a boxed version of Dust? No. BUT that doesn't mean I can't enjoy what it is currently is and what it can still be in the future, no matter how long/short that may be.
Look, I understand the whole, "Fool me once..." attitude of many vets when it comes to Dust, and if they want to walk away from the game bad-mouthing it (along with CCP) that's their prerogative. I, on the other hand, will continue to enjoy the game and look forward to seeing how even the smallest of changes can have a large impact on the playability of the game. To each their own, I guess.
