Considering our past experience in Dust 514's closed beta phase in regards to imposing the NDA, we learned that there are a great many players out there who are more than willing to face an account ban if they posted the closed-beta videos before CCP ever allowed them to do so.
That said, and with the possibility of Legion one day having its own closed-beta phase, I was wondering about this for a while. I felt like we should get this out of the way and discuss it right now rather than later. For those of us lucky enough to one day get closed-beta access, can CCP be kind enough as to just NOT impose the NDA policy this time for Legion?
The reason I ask involved two things.
1. Many of us dedicated testers like to show you videos of any issue we find because some of us feel that posting the issue on YouTube allows us to better convey whatever complaints we might have with the game should an issue arise. Many of us tried to rely on the grid-like maps you gave us but those only do so much before we REALLY have to show you issues that not even the grid-like maps could show.

Yes, I would like to be able to make money from this and I'm sure others would too. Of course, this is just secondary to the first point I main but you get the idea.

I sincerely hope CCP learns that the no videos policy was a somewhat futile endeavor at the very least. More important, I hope CCP learns from their mistakes with DUST 514, and allows us CCP Rattati-grade interaction with the developers from the very beginning.

The problem with beta videos is that there still here when the game gets released, then when people browse youtube for, "this new game thats just been released". All they see are a heap of buggy videos, without a thought for checking the publish date.
However if they could pop a clause in the NDA that allowed unlisted videos to be shown, only people with the link on the beta forums can view it. I think that's a fantastic compromise.

This is why modern studios dont even annouce games till its beta ready, look at Destiny thats been in development for years but only now is stuff starting to leak and lo and behold its all postive because the games basicly ready the beta is just to make sure servers dont blow up.
Sadly we cant beta like we used too :-(
