Since there will be no player to player market, what is the point of being awarded gear that you have no skills invested in? I understand it would be diffficult to code for only recieving gear that a player can use, but just throwing misc salvage at us is hardly an award. I would like to hear some suggestions on how to improve this issue, my thoughts include:
- inflating reward criteria so more widely used gear is awarded more often. - award aurum gear (lower skill requirements) - use FW award system for pubs - player to player market (yeah, dreaming still) - remove salvage from pub matches all together

I think Public Contracts would be much better if the drop rate was set to 100%.

Need to go digging through my old posts, I remember clearly having a conversation with one of the devs while I was complaining about the low LP payouts and lack of ISK payouts in the (then soon-to-be-released) update to Faction Warfare. The dev said this was a non-issue because the player market was just around the corner and we could sell our salvage from FW.
Well, seeing as that is no longer the case . . .
Amarr are the good guys.

Well, seeing as that is no longer the case . . . Yup. Also, the pub salvage rates have been nerfed at least twice to preserve the, then upcoming, economy.

Law of entropy: nothing can be preserved at 100% Secondly all the money you spent would come back to you in the form of salvage (in average terms) and then you'd have contract on top of that.
But of course CCP needs an economy before bla bla bla. Again we just need ISK transfer and Object transfer nao. We don't need the ability to sell just to transfer.
