The cost! I've been a heavy since closed beta. My old proto heavy used to cost 400k. ( back then there was an Amarr shield based version )
Now? 175k . . . really? We are meant to be mini tanks. We used to cost as such. Our only 3 deaths were justified by the costs.
Our stats are fine. They are working as intended. It's just too cheap.
Do not nerf rotation, optimal, falloff, damage, or even heat build-up until the costs are in line. We are superior specialist suits. Not everyday assault suits which are meant to be a go to and cost effective ( never mind their current lackluster state ).
Our deaths should hurt our wallet.
Please provide your opinions on this idea.  |

I think it would be prudent to wait to see what the future hotfixes do for assaults before touching the heavies/sentinels. I also don't like the idea of making any playstyle unprofitable to use, if needed, I would rather balance the thong itself than the price.

The only reason why increased ISK price is justified on vehicles because of the theoretical immunity they have to >80% of the weapons in DUST 514.

I like that you didn't just say Dust, you got super technical...
Siv.. I just don't know. Then we end up in a pay to win scenario.
And what does it matter, I watch you go 40+ Kills to like 2 deaths in a BPO suit with a Basic HMG (to be fair, he does have Prof. 5 and all Sentinels to Proto).
I don't know how to 'fix' Sentinels. I have very little issue with them, whether it be my Python, my Scout, my Logi (maybe my Scrambler Rifle variants), or maybe even my own Sentinel... I just don't see the issue here. Hell, I've killed you in one shot Siv.
I think I'm over Dust now...

Disagree.
I, for one, do not give a damn about the cost. I could run 400k sentinels all day, lose several a match, and not care.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Well I'll just say this and let whatever happens happen.
In PC, I go about 20-10.
Pubs ( full of new players and idiots ) 35-2.
My best in pubs as of late.
63-4, 50-1, 54-2
The quality of players as of late is abysmal. 3 militia suits waltz into a cqc room oblivious to my presence and just melt to my ADV build. The poor quality heavy players are just as pathetic.
I'll probably just stop playing this game at this rate. My heavy gear has been altered from beast to utter suicidal crap to use back to good with non stop complaints from far too many. I truly do not know what the community wants a heavy to be.
Just make me a door just to get shot at and little else seems to be the want. |
