How to make them? Make a heavy weapon that is just a small turret that can be carried around, and give bonuses to Commandos for using them, however, they can only have a heavy slot (no sidearm). Maybe grenades,

Light Machine guns bruh with poor stability, slightly higher than AR damage, lower RoF, more range, and more dispersion.
And have the Commando Address weapons stability and X other skill.

1 You didn't say what size these LMG's were going to be
2: You want them to be only different by their damage profile I assume,and which case they already exist tbh as the AR's.

Basically, give commandos the slot layouts of sentinels, give sentinels a light weapon and a sidearm, and buff the scanning stats of sentinels. This makes commandos offensive heavies while sentinels are defensive heavies. I don't think the current system is right that the toughest suit has the best guns, and doesn't have the scan stats to live up to its title of sentinel.

Light weapons which are hard to use on suits that don't give bonuses to stability or if you don't have the skills.
DPS could be slightly higher than the AR but dispersion and accuracy suffer during prolonged firing.
