Hey you savages, want to get better with aiming the plasma cannon yeah?
Well I'd like to learn you a little secret as long as you use it on the Caldari Bastards.
Using the Plasma Cannon you notice that it has a unique reticle.
One dot in the middle, with two horizontal lines on the side of the centered dot along with a vertical line underneath the centered dot.
Alright, so every 40 meters the range is doubled on the "range finder" type reticle.
If you see a target is under forty meters your chances of hitting the target as long as it's around the centered dot increases.
Once you hit 40 meters you aim the bottom of the vertical line where the dot is and you will hit that target spot on at 40 meters.
Lets say you have a target at 80 meters.
You put the bottom of the vertical line where the centered dot was and then you do it again.
This is effective on up to it's maximum range.

Yeah same here.
Everything kirk said is rubbish people.
He is trying to mess up your aim.
He's never even used a PLC and in fact, has only played dust 3 hours total.
He wasn't here for beta either.

it doesnt take long if youre used to it.
it becomes second nature to know where the reticule will be after you use that as a guideline for a while

To be honest the "sights" on it are rather useless. Sights are for a quick reference so you can spend as little time exposed as possible, not a "Well at 40m it should be slightly below *here* so 80m should be double that...." and fire.
The PC sights should look a lot more like the mass driver with it's 3 lines. >20m is a straight shot, the first line should be 40m, 2nd 60m, and 3rd 80m. *That* would be a good sight, not this junk they gave us. |
