Is there a reason why long range weapons like scramblers and rail rifle are that effective at close range, if rail rifle are as good long and short range and have high dps, why would we bother to use any other weapons ? The combo scout rail is ludicrous but it keeps killing my 700ehp assault suit. I understand when i use the commando that it has a larger hitbox but most if not all the time i get killed by the sl variant. What are the numbers of weekly kill with the rail variant versus the other weapons ? All the best dust players i know uses that weapon and its very common knowledge it has no flaws so lets come clean on this one fellow mercs... Whats the reason you use the SL or the dreadfully try hard version, the kalaitoka ? I want to hear other dusters on this not only O.H people ;) |

Scrambler rifles aren't actually that common atm.
Rail rifles are the most common weapon in the game now I think, though.
CCP Rattati is looking at fixing this so that range actually is a tradeoff - rail rifles won't do as much damage as rifles with half their range, for example.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

I am rather amused at the notion that people can complain about the ScR with its dmg profile in this age of armor and brick tanking xD

I think it would be the best course of action, an AR should out dps in short range a rail or scrambler that is not assault. And i agree that long range it should be one of the best until you loose your distance advantage. |

Try meeting a modded controller with a scrambler, im prof 5 with them and i can assure you i cant do as good as them and your right heavy land makes this weapon useless. Unfortunately heavy suits are too cheap to my tast they should be at least 2 to 3 times costier cause they kill 4 to 5 times more times people than normal suit.... |
