Now here's a tread to discreetly talk about those 0-15 blue, red, or dare I say it green berries. I have no recent tales of late of myself/others, but it would be a nice read to hear of the necessary griefing that happens every match much to our dismay or delight. Enjoy. |

Not at all. This is about those people that fail at proto stomping and fotm! I love helping new people I will rf and LFS learning coalition pretty often actually. |

In a FW battle, we were getting pounded pretty badly on the ground.
To attempt to counter this, I brought in a STD dropship with a mCRU on it.
The crew I got was so terrible (not jumping out, while the gunners fired at stuff that was out of range) that I just turned on afterburners and put the ship into a nosedive.
The entire dumbass crew died, but I managed to jump out and give an enemy sniper a shotgun to the back of the head shortly before the battle ended.

Sad but true, but I've seen a metric frackton of crap smurfs recently, which has lead to a pretty big deterioration in the quality of pub matches -- not that pub matches were ever great, mind you, but you know what I'm saying.
It seems like there has been a recent influx of brand-spanking new players, for god knows what reason, and they know absolutely nothing about Dust tactics. Back 6 months ago, even if you were on a team of complete randoms, you had a fair chance of winning a match even with no communication with your teammates, because all players recognized in a very general sort of way what was required of them and their class on that map. Doesn't seem to be that way anymore -- smurfs don't seem to know what the hell they are doing, even more so than before.
I've been considering spending part of my gametime solely dedicated to the purpose of creating public squads, for purposes of showing noobs the ropes. Might be futile, but if enough of us vets did this as a public service, might lead to some better matches?
Or not. It's a dying game, waste of time, blah blah and so forth. I dunno anymore, bros. It's just kinda depressing, what I'm seeing in the quality of average players these days.

Agreed. When I watch a sniper mlt go 5 times to a spot 50m away and I drop him 5 times you think he might get the point but no... Then you try to message them and pick em up to speed but hey, no message even after you tell them nothing personal dude. We have the channels and resources to get new player retention but we are all either lazy or oblivious. |

You sure you were in the right position to for someone to even want to jump out. I'm sure they thought you were a noob dropship pilot. Usually, when a funner shoots he wants you to pay attention and go where the targets are.

I usually just turn the ship upside down on one of the objectives if this happens but oh how many times I have wanted to do exactly this.
