The Pursuit of Goods Fights in Planetary Conquest
We here in 0uter.Heaven wish to propose an idea to you, the members of the community, of our goals and ideas to improve the overall Planetary Conquest experience. Many corporations before have attempted this and have all but failed due to lack of vision for the community and rather a focus on benefiting themselves.
We want to create an environment where corporations, who at least have a team of 16 able and ready mercenaries, are able to experience the highest level of competition Dust514 has to offer. However, we donGÇÖt want to bite off more than we can chew by trying to do something like; control the entirety of Molden Heath, as this only creates more problems than it solves. As such, we would like to focus our efforts on the Almur constellation, creating opportunities for corporations to obtain districts in the Sakulda, Hedaleolfarber and Altbrard systems and have good, competitive PC battles.
In order to do this, we must first open up a majority of the districts currently occupied by large entities and stronger tier corporations in Almur. Once this is done we wish to distribute these district back to the community as either gifts or purchasable real estate. We have no interest in vacating all the corporations who already hold land, unless you are not actively using your districts to participate in PC battles with us and the community. Ultimately, we wish to make the rest of the system available to more corporations and promote the pursuit of good fights in PC.
Currently, 0uter.Heaven owns 15 districts in the Almur System and we plan to hold no more than 25% of the constellation. There are a total of 55 districts in Almur, which leaves 40 districts available to be utilized by PC hungry corporations regardless of size. An ideal situation would be for participating corporations to hold 2 districts (for a total of 20 corporations), for an opportunity to play PCs without the fear/threat of losing land and getting kicked out from PC, but these are merely ideas as I am waiting to see if we actually have 20 more corporations that are interested in experiencing PC.
There are currently a total of 20 corporations that resides in Almur as of Tuesday, June 10th. These corporations are:
-+ 0uter.Heaven -+ Ultramarine Corp -+ Grupo de Asalto Chacal -+ LastVendetta. -+ D.A.R.K L.E.G.I.O.N -+ KEQ -+ Nyain San -+ Nyain Chan -+ Molon Labe -+ DDB -+ GUTZ -+ Rising Suns -+ Gods Among Men -+ Eternal Beings -+ The Phoenix Federation -+ Exiled Elite Templars -+ The Last of Dust -+ Planet Express -+ Ravenclawarts514 -+ The Southern Legion
We ask that these corporations, who currently hold land in Almur to contact; 1st Lieutenant Tiberius, WhataguyTTU or Reiselia regarding this plan we have proposed and your thoughts/opinions about it and ultimately help us create an environment where the community may experience the thrill and excitement of playing with their brothers and sisters at Dust514GÇÖs highest level of competition, as we do here in 0uter.Heaven.
Once these districts are made available, our plan right now is sell/redistribute these districts in Almur to able and ready corporations for 50 million ISK (Production Facility/Surface Research) and 65 million ISK (Cargo Hub). This will provide the community with an option to grind a minimum of 90 million ISK to flip a production facility with clones pack (an extra 45 mil for a cargo hub) or to grind out 50 to 65 million ISK to purchase/acquire a district from 0uter.Heaven.
As with all good systems it must first be implemented then maintained, and with these ideas we want to be as transparent as possible to the community in communicating our goal of providing you with Planetary Conquest battles, so please do not hesitate to contact us or reply here with any suggestions or ideas you have to make this concept a reality, help us make it easier for you to experience Planetary Conquest.
PC battles have been exclusive to a very small portion of the player base and itGÇÖs time we changed that.
Post a reply or join the discussion in the WarRoom if you have any suggestions or ideas that could help us make this plan a reality. We want to provide YOU the opportunity to experience Planetary Conquest, help us make this a reality.
Signed,
The Sinwarden of 0uter.Heaven

Nyain San? Lol, good luck convincing them.
I suppose now that holding vast swathes of land isn't an isk printing machine they might almost consider it fleetingly, but these are the people who wouldn't go below 30% 'because they'd get mass attacked'.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Question: isn't Nyain Chan simply a feeding corp to the San's?
In other words: are you sure they're not simply using their districts to print money off of each other?

I kinda miss good PC matches. The ones where there's no lag, good fights and little to no exploits.
Since 'The Announcment', my corp has disappeared, making it difficult to do anything but pubs.
Although it would be nice to have somewhere to use my stockpiled ISK and gear.

we held a single district in the area. till several of the corps on the list spammed us to death. who needs to win when you have more clones.
if i am correct we will of just lost our last district about 30 mins ago. again death by spamming.(i wasnt present due to health concerns no its my business i wont explain.)
basicly while a noble idea several of the groups will not agree to it and if they encounter anyone they cant beat in an unfair fight they will just send attack after attack untill you have zero clones left and are left unable to defend.

If anyone is continuing to worry about isk at this point in the game then they need a reality check. "Competitive" fights are the only thing that keeps guys like me and other players with 40 million+ SP logging in.

Sounds like you need to usher in a new ERA by leveling the playing field.

we actully did hire in some ringers when we had two fights within 20 mins. sadly our small corp which can put up one pc squad cant afford to hire guys like yourself often though you guys are good value for isk.
we are far from out of pc. (personaly im out till this RL situation is resolved) though no one in corp or the corp itself is making any isk out of it. simply due to it being a war of attrion (spelling sorry)
and paying all that isk for lagg seems a bit mad to me haha.

Well that's the point of a district unfortunately. The feeling of loss is what makes this mode unique. Honestly anyone who can field 16 players every day and wants to fight deserves all the help they need if they're new to MH. I don't think anyone should get wiped off the map completely unless they absolutely deserve it. It lowers the amount of competition and encourages stagnation. Ultimately it leads to boredom and players leaving.
No one can guarantee that anyone will hold a district forever. If you want to hold that district eventually you're going to need to learn how to stand on your own two feet.
We need to help stimulate an environment where all you guys who are scared to try or have tried and got wiped out before they had a chance to figure out how PC is even played can learn how to play. In order to get better at PC you need to fighting in PC's as a team. It's a novel concept I know. Some corps will be able to stand on their own right out of the gate. Others will need nurturing and guidance. Some will just fail.
We're just trying to plant seeds and give you guys a little water and sunshine. It's ultimately up to you guys to grow.

I get the competition thing....but from what I remember of PC it was less skilled that you make it out to be and a whole lot more of Grenade Spams, Combat Rifles (low accuracy high DPS), and brick tanked players........ who primarily mob areas before capturing and call that tactics.

The game goes from controlling 6 people (a squad) to 16 people (a team). Teamwork. It's about teamwork.
The bar for individual skill is pretty low. That's why a lot of players run bricked tanked suits and use whatever is OP. That's why FOTM exists. Whatever is OP and is going to give a player an edge, he's going to use it but it's not like you're not capable of doing the same thing. There's no honor here. It's about winning. You don't have do stuff like that but you just ultimately have to accept that it's going to be there and have to come up with a way to counter it. PC is about teams who want to win. Not teams who are going to complain about spamming whatever's OP.
The game is horribly imbalanced. Everyone knows that but everyone is still playing the same game. The mechanics don't change from me to you. We're all playing on the same field.

Put up my buy-in ISK and we can go 1vs16 a few times. Come find me, before I find you...
Let's see who loses more ISK (aside from buying my admittance, of course) C'mon, you have the ISK to burn and I have a desire to burn up some Protos and OWs. ~5:00 UTC is my usual time, if interested.

PC isn't for everyone but for those who want real competition, Planetary Conquest is the only place you will find it. For small corporations breaking into Molden Heath can be daunting. It requires talented players and ISK. Lots of ISK. 36 million ISK for one competitive battle is a fair bit for a small corporation and when considering taking a district the cost builds up quickly. But there is a cheaper way to start out in the PC world and that is what 1st Lieutenant Tiberius is proposing. By giving smaller corporations districts competitive matches are easily accessible. Moving clones costs no ISK and the ISK earned by selling excess clones can go towards clone packs.
Planet Express is fairly new to the world of Planetary Conquest but we have players who enjoy competitive matches. Matches where both teams use their best gear. Matches where there are no blue dots. Matches where teamwork and cohesion is key. If your corporation has enough players to field a team of prototype users and have never tried PC matches then you are missing out. In my opinion, this is where the most fun in the game is to be had. Like Tiberius said, PC battles have been exclusive for a small portion of the player base. I understand that some corporations will have no interest in PC but I know that there are other corporations that will. Starting your corporation in Planetary Conquest will bring new enjoyment to this game.
