was watching E3 and keeping an eye out for anything EVE or even CCp related. only thing i saw was when they showed EVE: Valkyrie on the screen as one of the free to play tabs for the PS4

They didn't show anything DUST 514 during it's own presentation at FanFest
What made you think they were going to show anything DUST 514 related at E3?
Amarrians would prefer you be faithful... I'd rather you be logical.

For the PS4 press release, they did seem to give the attention to Hellogames' "No Man's Sky" which just essentially competes with EVE: Valkyrie for the same target customers and given it just wasn't "tabbed" as an available title but given spotlight attention, it may very well be what players go to first instead of Valkyrie. But in all honesty, given that CCP is seemingly digging itself out back into the public sphere of good faith and trust again, if I were Sony I wouldn't touch it with a yardstick and risk getting a few boos from the audience. |

No, not really.
No Man's Sky is a single-player exploration game.
Valkyrie is a VR dogfight sim. Sony hasn't even got a release date for their VR headset.
This is like saying Mount and Blade is a direct competitor to Skyrim, or Metro: Last Light is competing with Battlefield.
Totally different types of game.

no man's sky is not finished, nor do we really have any idea of what no man's sky will be for sure by the time it comes out, trailers are nice but you should really know they rarely represent the finished product.
my best estimate of no man's sky is it will be similar to spore, start from the ground up with no tech and build up to space age tech in which case you can begin fighting/ dealing with other players on a galactic scale.
from the shots i saw you will likely operate in either RTS mode commanding all your ships or from within the cockpit of a single fighter. |
