I was trying to hack this CRU one match and every time i tried to hack it, someone would just spawn in. It got to the point where atleast 6 different people where trying to spawn in when I was hacking, of course i had to kill all of them.(Self defense and what not)
Finally it got to the point where they called in this 2 heavy's both armor tankers, killed the 1st heavy a couple of times, and the last heavy was always looking for me. Finally i get a hack in but, just as I finish the hack 3 people spawn in 
I kill 2 but the 3rd is the same damn heavy so i fall back a little to get some distance, and what do you know? The heavy hacked the CRU again. I'm Just there like I don't want to kill you guys, but I have to. So i got my shields back and went back to the CRU killed more people and stuff, Finally at the last second of the game, the 2nd heavy(That was no where to be found for most of that time) killed me, and the game ended.
I ended up getting a nice 29 kill streak,wasn't able to get that second hack in though. |

Yup. All the time. Now I realize that not ALL of them are camping, their just trying to hack. But there are campers though that don't bother to hack,
set up 10 nanos and just sit there.

Was trying to take out a spawn uplink with a plasma cannon.
Let's just say someone spawned in the way. His sacrifice however did save the uplink as I got killed in the reload.

The best way to play Dust before Stomping is spawn camping. And i hate the one who hack it.
But am moving around that is not camping, because a camper most not move.

Fired a plasma cannon at an uplink, got a kill
Fired again, got another kill
Fired a third time, and I finally destroyed the uplink without OHKing an invisible clone.

I do it until/unless its safe ish to hack.
There's no way I'd hack solo unless I was a winmatar scout.
Its also noones fault if they want to farm people who are stupid enough to spawn........oh wait yeah you get awarded for that now with invisibly and invincibility briefly.
Never mind folks, keep spawning. There's no need to re group and counter attack anymore.

Placed an RE on a link, turned around and detonated thinking no one would spawn there, got 5 kills. XD

Understandable from a heavy or medium suit.
Scouts with cloak are a different story, they should not have any problem to hack a CRU and run away.

The spawn system in this game has always been broken, since Closed Beta.

Before you accuse me of padding my K/D, understand this, I give zero fucks regarding my K/D and I wouldn't be able to do it if the dumb fucks didn't keep spawning there.

I'm one of those occasional dumb fucks that thinks they stand a chance. I also agree that my KD/R can go kill itself.

I do not consider it camping.
They are in the game to shoot people and I am saving them the time of running across these huge maps.
The greatest camp I have ever fell victim to was a scout heavy combo. They had watched what direction we were facing on spawn and the scout was just dancing around about 20m in front of the link while the heavy waited for you to spawn all the way in and shot you in the back. I was not even mad cause that was some awesome team work.

In my opinion, redline farming is worse because you have NO choice but to spawn there. If you are getting killed in less then 3 seconds after spawning on a link or cru and decide to keep spawning there, you should blam yourself not the farmers. Camping is chilling in 1 spot to take out people/KD padd/reacon/etc. Farming on the other hand is waiting for your... "crops" to "grow" so you can reap them. I hate people who farm players that have NO choice but to spawn where the farming is occuring (redline situations). I also hate naive players that can't think and spawn on farmed links/crus constantly.

I'd rather be an Honorable noob than an ass, and I've cloned the enemy plenty of times, going solo, or in a squad, and i've always hacked(Or tried to hack) the CRUs

That's why I don't even bother trying to hack CRUs when I'm solo.
Just stand back and camp it out until a blueberry comes along or they stop spawning on it, which almost never happens.
No shame in it.

If I am in my scout, I generally finish the hack first. Otherwise, I can see how that would be an issue.
My favorite are when I go to knife an uplink and a +50 pops up. Well alright then.

Well... Only yesterday I killed about 30 mercs while trying to get to a CRU the enemy was spawning from. I was seriously trying to get to it but the people spawning on it werenGÇÖt the brightest.
I have also camped campersGǪ ItGÇÖs sad and hilarious at the same time. ThatGÇÖs not an accident though.
I have never proto stomped but now that DUST 514 is dead I can do it without remorse!! 247 million ISK to go.

When I first started playing I hated the idea of camping. Now, I realized it's just a game tactic and truthfully there isn't a whole lot wrong with it.
That being said, I always take out all spawn points or hack them UNLESS I know for a fact I can't get the hack without dying. In that case I will hold off the objective or spot until back up arrives. To me that is not camping in the least bit. Mainly because it's hard and if you don't have ammo you can run out or get smashed by a heavy at any point.

If I'm hacking, I'm in my Minja suit, so I always throw down a RE behind me before I hack. I kill off those who get there before my hack starts and I always put myself on the least spawned on side of CRU's to prevent getting killed mid-hack. Once I start hacking though I don't stop unless they've noticed me and started shooting. Once the hack is done, I sprint out of range of the RE and detonate it to get rid of any last-second spawners who might ice me in the back as I get away, then check it over quickly to make sure it's clear.
That's about as close to camping as I get. Unless they keep spawning in so fast that I can't hack, I hack.
