I was thinking. What if we implement the slow down when you are getting shot effect only to scouts?
yes I know it sounds unfair.
But even when Hotfix Alpha was supposedly to fix the armor stalking speed penalties and and cpu/pg I still don't see that big of a change in brink tanking cloaked scouts.
Why?
Because most of them run proto and the proto armor modules stayed the same as they were which they really only hindered the ones trying to reach proto armor plating modules using the brink tank scout method
I am only saying this because scouts are still the go too suit ever since uprising 1.8 launched. If something isn't done about this, then scouts will forever stay the go too suit.
So yeah, give the scouts the slow down when shot effect to keep them away from the frontlines and make them think even more carefully to their approach to their enemies.
What do you guys say?

You haven't paid much attention to what's going on.
The whole reason they got rid of that was to help the scouts. And I agree that it should've been removed because you shouldn't slow down when running away if you have next to no HP and a ton of biotics modules on your suit.
However I agree about the proto armor mods and have told them I think they should've been nerfed as well.
My thoughts on Hotfix Alpha: First I noticed a scout running from my AR. Then a heavy. Then a COMBAT RIFLE USER. CCP +1

Sorry, but no. Scouts should only be fixed directly through changing their stats, not by an outside source as this. Besides I don't think CCP could do it, to that slow down would affect only 1 type of suit. If anything the slow down effect should only happen when the bullets hit your armor, since shields are an outside protection.

Every suit had its time to shine. Scouts are getting theirs after months and months of being left on the back burner.
I don't see scouts on the frontlines. I see them doing what they supposed to do, which is to sabotage. I don't believe crippling the role is a good idea either.

Honestly it's not even the scouts being too good at frontline work. It's just that assaults underperform.
Mostly because most assault suit users are bad. But also because a few of the assault suits just aren't worth it. They all get a really good suit and **** bonuses or really good bonuses and a **** suit.
But please, take away all my CPU and PG so I can't fit the advanced cloak on my prototype scout suit that I already have trouble fitting in a lot of cases. Please don't speak about balance issues of which you don't see both sides from and if you do have a scout suit and an assault/heavy suit then please rethink your proposals.

The slow down effect was a good idea but badly implemented. It seemed to work well to me other than on scouts.
If I was in my heavy suit I could just aim a little in front of a scout, let a couple bullets catch him, and let aim assist take over if he happened to be brick tanked and took more than a second to kill him. Scouts should be vulnerable if they are not stealthy enough but it was way too much.
The slow down effect was just a way to make the hit boxes seem like they worked better anyway and CCP removed it because they don't care anymore.

I have a cal scout (was planning on speccing on Amarr scout but didn't saw what I was doing accidentally specced into cadari scout) And and I also have heavy and medium suits. And must I ask how do you run your scout suit? Because I have a little more than pg/cpu left over. Maybe that's because I use a STD cloak, but all my weapons and modules are enhanced

Only scrub scouts brick tank. Real scouts still use speed and stealth to flank and attack from behind.
Many of the players using brick tanked scouts would probably be using assault suits if assault suits weren't garbage.
The best way to fix brick scouts is to fix assault suits. Leave us real scouts alone.

**** no slow down affect is terrible, and you should feel terrible for trying to keep it, got a problem with bricktanked scouts? Everyone does, But not every scout is brick tanked. Punish the few who actually need the punishment, not the innocents.
