Personally I would recommend Amarr if you are going sentinel. They would be the best for HMG VS HMG battles due to their dual tank and resistance to projectiles(HMG,SMG,CR). The Gallente heavies offer great armor repair, while Minmatar have great speed for a heavy. Caldari if you want to shield tank but beware of Amarr Weaponary. If you want to lean towards the Commandos, weapon preference needs to be cleared first. So what weapons do you prefer, and which suit will you play more?

Personally if you want the most durable suit for the Sentinel class I would select the Gallentean variant as its resistance bonuses both apply to Anti Armour damage types, and as you will be primarily be armour tanking you will not be bothering with shield resistances like the Amarr Frame does.
With Gallentean Heavy Frame you should be able to have maximum Armour HP values which are bettered even more by your suit skill bonuses reducing projectile armour damage by 10% and 15% against Rail based hybrid damage sources.
For the Commando..... that is simply a matter of preference. Looking at your corp I would suggest the Gallente due to the recent buffs to the AR...while it is still the least impressive AR it can only be receiving buffs and would be a solid choice (however your operation 5 bonus is a 10% increase to plasma weapons damage so 462 DPS + 46.2= 508.2 DPS ). You could then develop your Commando role by skilling either into Shotguns for Heavy CQC work, or Plasma Cannon for some AV presence.
I personally recommend the Amarr Commando with the Assault Scrambler Rifle and Laser Rifle. Its a very potent anti Infantry Combination...but requires you to remain at range for full use of the build.
However in your case I recommend Gallentean. Typically their suits and weapons sit in the Mid to Low tier of weapons and to my knowledge rarely get nerfed, and have many people request buffs.
Benefits of the Gallente Suits + Gear
- Armour Tanking (high HP values) - Moderately easy to fit weapons - Moderate CPU and PG values - Built in Armour Repair Units - Reasonable Biotics - Very Hard to kill when using Armour Doctrines
Weaknesses of Gallentean Suits + Gear - No particularly specialised - Lesser Quality Weaponry (as of now) - Slow (all armour tankers are) - Short Ranged - Typically Low DPS (contrary to how then should be)
Hold fast young sir I will bring Arkena to describe the many filthy but enjoyable benefits of the Federation.

CalSen. It's secretly more lethal than any other sentinel racial suits IMO.

Caldari sentinel is the king of shield regen. That and the fact that HMG's deal only 90% damage against shields make them interesting. Cause it doesnt matter if the other heavy has proficency 5 on HMG's it will allways deal only 90% damage towards you. While vs armor the proficency bonus gets applied. Oh yeah i forgot to mention that regular grenades deal allmost no damage vs caldari sentinels. Cause of the shield resistance and the damage resist from the snetinel skillbook. A core locus deals like 150~200Hp damage against it. |

Only if you always makes the first shot, I was camping an uplink killing everyone who spawned there, suddenly an amarr heavy spawns there and he demolished me with his boundless, I was using a proto calsent and the boundless eated my shields away in seconds, I had a vehicle right behind me but I was unable to get it (dunno why lol) and then I died.
I'm playing more with the calsent to learn how to use them well, the key is to always have somewhere to cover and engage another heavy with intelligence because armor > shields, and yeah, grenades means nothing against the shields of a calsent... if only that applies the same with the re's lol, also I noticed that the calsent always have the upper hand against other heavies if the calsent makes the first shots.
