With the sudden rise of Assault Dropships due to the inventory wipe, some of you have probably gone and dealt with them in the most harrowing but fun way possible - dropship ramming or ADS dueling.
What are your experiences and success rate in costing someone a few tears?

Dusted off my Assault Swarm Launcher today.
I made 2 ADSs crash into each other, and got hatemail from both pilots.
Amarrians would prefer you be faithful. I'd rather you be logical.

i got kamikazee by a python but i was in a methana,
he switched to rail rifle as i drove back to my redline
i switched to my kamikazee gorgon
his message sending buddy i've had words with in the past recalled his python
proceeded to protect reds from his blaster tank fire
placing dropship in between him and his target
best drunk op EVER

I actually got props from an ADS pilot last night. They were camping our team (Communications map, everything in the city except for inside B & A is ADS camping territory) and I died a few times to infantry in my proto AV fit trying to take them out, so I got on top of the mushroom building to try to at least keep them off my team.
Well... I succeeded.... but they spent the rest of the match trying to kill me off the roof instead. I used the null cannon on the roof for cover, but they got me about 30 seconds before the end of the match. Never came close to killing either of them (a Python and an Incubus, both with missiles), but I did keep them off my team. At a cost of over 900,000isk in AV suits....

Forge guns are very difficult to engage, my incubus can only take maybe 3 hits and trying to hit the tiny dot that is the forge gunner while evading is irritating.
Against other dropships though my rail incubus does wondrously, just the other day I managed to kill an unsuspecting python on a single pass (I used a damage mod with proto turret) which gave me immense satisfaction. Mostly because dropship battles can often be terribly boring due to the fact that neither can usually manage to kill the other. |

ADS vs ADS is impossible fight. It's like 1/100 chance to kill a ADS using your own unless using damage modded proto railgun on a level 5 Incubus. DS ramming is stupid. |

There must always be a balance - in this case it is DS ramming. You pilots never paid attention to your surroundings anyways, you're all focused on blapping infantry.
