Anyone have tips for beating this combination in CQC in areas with significant amounts of cover?

-Sneaking up on them ends up being difficult due to the scout's detection. You have to kill the body of a downed scout before their detection stops.

-Mass drivers from long distances have to use multiple clips before having a chance to take out the heavy. In PC its pretty difficult to time a point's bombardment behind cover effectively and make this coincide with a squad's push.

-My only thought right now is coordinating grenades in your squad to specifically deal with this problem. Spamming nanohives and having a blend of fluxes, contacts, and locus's and standing back and communicating that grenades are flying, before pushing a point.

Any other tips at taking out these fortified positions guarded by whole squads?

 A few ideas....

Out DPS them with two heavies.

 Dropship.

Get them looking one way with a feint, then flank or get behind them.

 Outnumber them.

 A well placed orbital/warbarge strike.

No. Thats a dumb idea. And I wasn't just talking 1 heavy and 1 scout, its more like 2-3 heavies and a logi and a scout.

Remember, the Caldari scout can see pretty well.
As a suicide mission it might work but it is just that. I'm imagining the infamous supply room.

I used to use Re's when proto scanners were being used and cloaks didn't exist, it's not hard if you know how to lure people into traps and around corners, I always assume everyone can see me.

re's are for indoors, tanks are for outsdoors.

those are the two best answers for this tactic.

aside from that you will need team work and organization with your squad.

I avoid heavies at all costs they are just to powerful and if I see a lot of shotguns in the kill feed I either scout up or leave.
