About a month overdue but here goes.
A while back (September, actually) I made a thread called "CCP: Can I get a blue tag here?".
It was nothing of any incredible importance, buuut at the time it did have a lot to do with me, and to a lesser extent my self-aggrandizement. You see, back in September I was working at a tattoo shop and one of the artists was bored, said to go and find something out of the book to get tattooed onto me. I've made it a point never to get something "out of the book" as I wanted unique tattoos.... What better than to draw this up, myself?
So after it was drawn up there came this point where it was finally time to get the tattoo. I wanted it fairly large because I had dedicated SIX YEARS of my life to Eve Online and Dust 514, but instead of it being just large we decided that it needed to go somewhere noticeable. Like, instantaneously noticeable, as in a good portion of my forearm.
With that, I posted up the thread and displayed it to the world, proud as hell to have a permanent reminder that I was a part of this -virtual- world. I wanted other people to see this and react; I wanted people to think that I was crazy - or even want one themselves. Funny, that the thread was mostly just a joke and it was all just so I could get some attention (hell, I felt I deserved it considering I made a permanent change to my body).
But I got more then I thought I would. A -LOT- more. So much so that CCP Falcon and I had a contract made on the forums that I was pretty much going to hold him to because it was just so awesome. Even though we never got around to getting a beer at the pub crawl (I was too busy talking to the Dust 514 devs about something that I was far too drunk to remember) I did manage to get the Eagle.
Which is hanging from my wall at this very instant.
So I have here, in my hand, a beer. Obviously nothing as awesome as Icelandic Gull but it's good enough. And even though it ain't at Fan Fest, and even though it's a month late, here's a drink to CCP Falcon for being an awesome Dev.

Being Gallente does pay off eventually.
Too bad that you have to endure terrible weapons and terrible armor repair tanking. (Which is fixed, so now it's only the weapons)

Unfortunately, no. The tattoo shop wound up getting closed down for financial misappropriations and I quit my apprenticeship because I felt that the person I was learning from was a poor influence. Nothing against them, just wanted more out of what was being offered. It's a long story.
Anyway, since that happened I've been unemployed and focusing my efforts on getting an education to try for a career in game development. As a result, I've not expendable income with which to finish the tattoo.

That sucks dude, hope stuff works out for you and you get around to getting it finished sometime. |

Lol, it's a lower priority at the moment. I'm pretty locked and focused on my CPM campaign and subsequently making sure Dust 514 gets into a healthy state
