The changes seem to have really done wonders for me. Scout numbers seem to be more tolerable the AR buff feels just right. The biggest was the armor fix; i've been living with two lows for a long long time and now that you cant get huge amounts of hp for little cost, everyone is back in the same playing field.

As a mini scout i find the armor changes horrible -
the basic suit is 2-2 advanced is 3-2 proto 3-3
with the lowest PG out of all the scouts the basic plates were the only thing which could get you upto a reasonable EHP (providing you didn't use a side arm). anyway being that i can't fit a basic plate and reactive plate (needs to be able to rep) on my advanced suit anymore (only run basic and advanced) i find in the lows i am running a PG mod and sometime a CPU mod aswell so i can fit 2 or 3 complex shield extenders depending on the suit. iirc the basic suit runs about 350 EHP and the advanced at 430ish compaired to the 600ish i used to run before on the advanced. on the plus side i now have a side arm. these figures are with a basic cloak (15 seconds) and if i tried to fit an advanced cloak those EHP figures would drop alot more.
tbh to me it seems like armour has had a buff in general though. they repair alot more and being that it was only really the basic plates which got a big CPU/PG change - the advanced actually require less CPU now than before but has the extra 1% speed penalty and the complex just costs a little more CPU to fit so for most people there will be no noticeable change for the plates but a large buff on the repairs. in short armor tankers can return to the battle quicker than before which is a huge bonus for a small penalty.
with your observation about scouts. i think realistically there has been a change in scout FOTM from galllete to caldari as all seeing scout has not had its eyes nerfed vs the can't be seen scout becoming more easily visible. so the balance of power may now be changing. yes you can still get silly EHP on the gallente scout and it still has its passive +3 armour rep for some reason, but now the caldari is more likely to see the gallente first so life is not so easy for them. the gallente will have more choices to make fitting wise and that will reduce their EHP or they will be more visible as for the caldari its business as normal. |

The gallente scout has never been the dominating one it was most probably always the caldari scout (this is even backed up by the market analyses floating around this forum). But most of this community was bitching about the possible hordes of brick tanked gallente scouts (which I never have encounter in contrast to hordes of cal scouts btw).
The gal was among the most flexible ones that could be fitted for various situations but this has now be gone so gal scouts NOW do either brick tank or move to cal scouts which offer by now way better ewar capabilities with decent tank or the ability to brick tank with insane HP.
But to be honest I have no real clue how CCP can solve the dilemma sandbox (every fitting is allowed) and some role should not be allowed to have certain fittings... |

I'm sorry about your suit getting worse but in all honesty it was absolutely ridiculous that you could get 600 HP on your advanced mini scout considering that's about all I could get on my ADV min assault. Meanwhile you were faster, had a cloak, better shield regen, etc. The scouts with high eHP were killing the assault role.
And as far as the Caldari scout, my damage mod AR seems to deal with them just fine.

on the mini militia med frame i can get 538 EHP - with 2 lows extra on the advanced i am sure you could get it to 750ish with a trickle rep or more if you use a compact nano hive for your armour rep.
the gallente militia med frame can give me 803 EHP
if you think the change to basic plates have done much to tanking scouts......a basic gallente scout can still run 685 EHP with cloak. the ammar will be in the same boat, and the armor changes are going to have a slight affect on the caldari's ability to brick tank but the only one who actually gets hit hard is the mini scout due to the slot layout i.e. 2-2 3-2 3-3 and really low PG. |

Haha use a nanohive for your armor reps?? Do you even minmatar bro? Yeah if I brick my assault I can get 700 at ADV but I usually run around 600 so that I have some decent regen. Hit and run

Mini scout or sometimes a dren suit. Your direct comparison of you you fit your mini assault then the mini advanced scout has always had about 430ish ehp but when the time called for more ehp it could be done, now it can't. Currently my suits range from 212 ehp to 430 ish |

They reduced the PG requirements for reactive and ferroscale. I just fit one (advanced) on protofits with 460 HP with a cloak and RE.. If you ditch the cloak and brick tank you can get close to 600.
Edit: Oh and if the time calls for more HP doing it in a min scout is probably the worst idea. We are low eHP suits... Sorry as a min assault for over a year I truly have no sympathy for you.

They have the same as your basic of old. You mean you want more HP for your PG used.
Hopefully the Extenders may get a balance pass in the future or Minny suits get more PG
