My sisters took me to see it in the theatre when I was young.
Another movie was playing at the same time that you might know called "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
I wanted to see Clash instead because I thought Raiders was a western. The movie trailer had that scene of Indiana Jones with that whip lol.
Both great flicks.

Had it on video and was amazing along with Jason and the Argonauts, Sinbad and all those other ones.
I'd also like to note that the new ish 300 Spartans film is not only a travesty to the actual story but also with the mythical bullsht that they added. The original was better.
I'd also like to add that immortals were real and fought in rank and file as well. When one died then another would step forward and replace them, it gave the illusion of men never dying sometimes which coined them the immortals.
Eneter some fking ninjas?, wtf!.
Also if you like your ancient warfare type films then I'd urge you all to watch the new ish Alexander film with Colin Farrell as Alexander the great. There's also the carry on films which are funny as fk, carry on Ptolemy or some sht.
There's also troy which is ok but Alexander really captures how savage the warfare might have really been. Its rather long but he was an amazing tactician of his time and conquered much of the world for his time.
Also if you didn't know, homosexual acts were the norm back then. Spartans were not only the most professional soldiers in Greece, but also the biggest mud sport artists. Just a heads up as you see some cringe worthy bits of Alexander and hephaestion kissing but not much.
He actually got stuck in with the fighting and survived for years, so he was also a decent warrior also.
Anyway I'm high and rambling lol.
