All you have to do is accumulate 2500 war points. That can be either by yourself or the combined warpoints of you and your squadmates. |

He's new, and apparently smart for coming to the forums.
You get WP for doing things on the battlefield depending on what you do.

However your best option would be to find a full squad of 6 people, with yourself as squad leader. Your entire squads war points will count towards the 2500. Once you have enough a message will appear at the top for a few seconds that you have a strike available or you can just count the points every once and a while or just check from the onscreen menu.

So if you are brand new then you notice that, occasionally, in a match you get WP which are WarPoints. When you assist teammates by using equipment (the slot or slots at the bottom of the screen when making a fit and accessed by using the R2 button in battle you get war points. If you kill or assist in a kill you get war points. You get war points with other things but for now that's all you need to know.
You must be in a squad. It's unlikely that you are good enough to be a squad leader or to solo 2500 war points in a squad solo. Got to battle and select squad finder and find a squad to be in.
You can only call a Warbarge strike when your squad earns 2500 warpoints AND it can only be used by the squad lead.
It will, likely, be a little while before you'll be a capable squad lead (abbreviated as "SL" relatively often).
In addition, to call it you have to press the right directional button on the "D" Pad and then select the middle option and select "Warbarge Strike".
I hope that helps.

You don't spend your Warpoints when you use the warbarge. If you have a squad of 5 people and they all have 500 warpoints then the SL will be able to call in the warbarge strike. When they call it in, everyone keeps the benefits from WP and keeps the total WP's they accrued up to that moment. Every 2500 points by your squad yields a warbarge strike.

No, its just everytime you hit 2500 points. You don't lose any WPs that you have gained. The only loss comes when you use a warbarge strike.
So if your squad is doing well, say total of 5000 warpoints. You would have two warbarge strikes. When you use one, you would have only one left. But you can continue to stack warbarges as long as your team is making the 2500 each time, so the next warbarge would be at 7500 WPs total
The Warbarge strikes accumulated are good until the end of the match.

DjDocMaxPain wrote:Soldier of Mawat wrote:All you have to do is accumulate 2500 war points. and how do i get those ? You get them by performing actions in battle. Specifically:
- Getting a Kill
- Helping someone get a Kill
- Repairing a Person (via Repair Tool)
- Resupplying a Person (via Nanohive)
- Reviving a Person (via Nanite Injector)
- Transporting People (via Dropship)
- Allowing a person to spawn in (via Drop Uplink)
- Squad Leader Commands
- Hacking an objective or other targets of interest.
It can be very difficult for new players to earn a Warbarge Strike by yourself, so it's best to squad up with other people. To make it easier to obtain a Strike, use Squad Leader commands. (Hold down R2 and tap R3)
Each command serves a different purpose and should be used at different times. Allow me to give a quick breakdown of said purposes here:
Attack
Best used when fighting a Vehicle or Sentinel, an attack order causes a red target marker to start blinking and pointing at the enemy selcted, making it easier to locate the target at hand.
Though the target marker disappears the moment everyone in the Squad can no longer see them.
Defend
This is the one that will be used most often. It is best used in general combat, when a person is running low on health or supplies, and when you and your Squad needs to defend an objective (also known as NULL Cannon).
The Defend Order disappears when the player it's on dies, or changes suits; or in the case of vehicles, when it is recalled.
Capture
A bit self-explanatory, this is most useful when you need to capture/hack a NULL Cannon or other item, such as a Mobile CRU, Installation, Supply Depot, or Vehicle.
The Capture Order only disappears when the target is hacked by a teammate.
Rally
This order is useful when you need your Squad to re-group or rendezvous at a specific location. It only disappears when the Squad Leader assigns a new order, or cancels the current one.
Cancel
Incredibly self-explanatory, the Cancel command causes the current Squad Order to disappear.
Once obtained, a notification in blue text will pop up on the upper-right corner of the screen which reads:
Quote: BATTLE COMMENDATION
Orbital Strike authorized for Squad Leader use.
Once that happens, tap Right on the D-Pad to bring up the deployment menu. Go to Off Map Support > Orbital Strike > Warbarge Strike; then the map will appear with a promt in the upper-right corner saying "SELECT STRIKE LOCATION". Use the Analog Stick to select the location.
Press 'X' to confirm and watch your enemies get wiped into DUST.
I assume your a new player, so I would advise joining an academy. If your interested in a participating in Planetary Conquest (a high stakes gamemode serving as the end-game of DUST 514), I'd recommend joining 0uter.Heaven Academy.
If your interested in a complete education of DUST 514, apply to Immortal Guides or DUST University. but if you've taken an interest into scout suits, join R 0 N 1 N.
Musta Tornius' guide of DUST 514 can be found here, though I would suggest visiting the Rookie Training Grounds sub-forum for in-depth guides on how to use specific items, courtesy of Fox Gaden (CEO of Immortal Guides).
Squad up in the Learning Coalition chat channel to see which corp suits you best, and feel free to shoot me some mail in-game if you need further tips or advice.
