I think it is a perfect metaphor for the culture there and is indicative of how they do business.
It doesn't seem important to them that they do things well. I would have been embarrased, not amused.

I don't know, seems more like a silly mistake, one you laugh about and then fix. I'm sure if all players sp was missing or negative they would feel ashamed. Its good to be a little laid back, being serious all the time is unhealthy
