I just wanted to say that I think this is a profound mistake to not have an EVE/Legion link at the games launch. Despite it's flaws, being able to work together with EVE players during PC and Faction warfare matches adds a huge dimension to the larger EVE meta game and promotes a great deal of activity in EVE.
My corp has frequent orbital strike fleets to support our mercs and those of our allies. It drives a lot of in-game activity.
I think CCP is underestimating the value an EVE/Legion connection would add to the game.
You need to have it at launch. You have two years of experience to make sure you do it right. You really have no excuse for it not being there.
It should not be something that will come soon(tm) as this is often interpreted by the players as "never" (and on many occasions they have been right.). |

I don't read the article like Legion won't have any EVE link at launch, just that it is too early to tell exactly what this will be.
But I agree, when Legion launches (might take a while) it needs to have a proper and meaningful EVE link, more than chat and corps.
They are focusing right now on the core aspects of the game (as they should), but Legions unique attraction will be its EVE link for many people, including me.
But hey, this means right now is the time to give them suggestions what we would consider proper EVE link, right?  |

Big mistake, sorry guys but it is, i get you got burned by dust but addmited yourself you cant plug the games together post lanuch, im not going to by into legion if this is the rout your taking their are simply vastly better scifi experiences out their that i can play

Seems like it is just more of the same.
We messed up dust.
We have a demo/prototype of something that we don't know what it is yet.
Writing video games is haaaaard and we aren't really good at it yet.
Now that we don't have to have anyone else check our work we are moving forward (Sony was picky!).
Then we will have a game on the ground that is like our spreadsheet in space that is the best spreadsheet in space game that ever was. Isn't that cool?
There is nothing the interview. No data, no information, just pr babble speak. This is absolutely the same exact PR that was released during fan fest. So chill out. Project legion will be just like dust when they are done with it. Undelivered potential is what they do.
Clueless is as clueless does. 
Nobody at CCP cares because we ain't Legionnaires.

I think legion has good talent on the team but if we get another round of upper management torpedoing their own boat again i wont be sticking around, allready the feedback here is railroading everything back to an EvE.2 just with a nicer interface.
Sad news for you guys all the shooter croud want is a BF or COD with persiatance bungi learned that just look at destiny its basically a big open world halo and its going to make millions

Sounds like they want to lower expectations. Last time they promised us this in DUST, it barely came but only in time for the red wedding in fanfest.

The EVE/Legion link is what made the game compelling. It made the game feel like it really was part of a grander universe. It was a reason for players from two very different games to work together. Without it, it's just yet another shooter.
Is legion going to be yet another lobby shooter with a horde mode? We already have plenty of those thanks. |

DUST barely had it and even then no one felt the connection and players Eve side didn't care enough about it. Even if CCP implements it that won't matter if it's incomplete.

It will be popular for a time, while people play through the story, but the MMO PvP will fail. Lame notions of having all your high level ammo disappear in PvP with a limited supply cache to be found and fought over will mean that high level matches devolve into a race to see which side will get the winning ammo first. Win the race to the high level ammo cache and win will be your PvP reward for progression, and it will get old fast.

Disagree global agenda was awsome and very very fun, my PC died so i cant play it anymore but i heard hirez simply shot themselves in the foot with tribes rather than GA falling over.
But again GA proved you can have a timelocked sandbox never works

Please make the following;
Real time districts without timer locks
Instead of being in a hanger in between matches you can choose to be in a "warbarge" so ling as the warbarge pilot is logged on and invites you in. They can then ferry you around the eve verse and deploy you to districts.
Can only deploy to districts if you are in a warbarge that is above a district in the eve verse.
Os trikes more or less as they are now.
Orbital deployments as well as mcc deployments (new suit, orbital drop suit to run along side heavies, scouts etc...)ie if corp has a warbarge over a district in eve verse you can deploy from it in an orbital deployment suit and land anywhere on the map instead of just ground or mcc spawn.
Inter ship boarding (if two warbarges are beside each other in er verse and on initiates a boarding fight they are locked down and the legion troopers on board each warbarge fight in a spaceship map until the other team is dead, the losing teams warbarge is then destroyed or "hacked" to belong to the corp of the pilot of the victorious warbarge.
Integration with eve upon launch.

It will get into Legion eventually. We just don't know when. Besides, we all know that Legion hasn't even been given the green light yet so we don't know how long this will take. Even if it gets the green light, how should the connection be established? Industry first? Or what about via Planetary Interaction or Planetary Conquest? I'm not sure we even reached a consensus on that.

I am not having a go at you personally. But if there is one thing that Dust514 has taught us (the players), it's that statements like this are completely, utterly, untrue.
We need to show CCP that there is merit in having a profound EVE/Legion link at launch, there are no guarantees that it will be added later (if ever).
The community has been talking about building on the interaction between the games. It seems utterly absurd that we are taking a step back. |

Technically what I said is true if you look at the definition of the word "eventually".
Eventually = It will get here when it gets here = SOON (TM)

Just to throw it out their soon TM wont cut it, by the end of summer i expect CCP to state the first set of featchers for the game that they will deliver on, ofc i can wait during beta but if they launch without a EvE link or a promised function or item im out

I really hope they are talking about any new concepts being done right before being added.
They shouldn't remove what they currently have, that's for sure.
