I personally use the advanced suit with complex armor plate and rep, enhanced shield extenders, advanced laser rifle and advanced assault SMG, standard locus, and K-2 nanohive

Because damage mods are worse than shield extenders for a 1v1, even for the SCR.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Stacked Damage Modifiers used to be good before 1.8, but now it's hard to justify using even one Damage Mod on anything other than Commandos or Heavy w/Forge Guns.

Rule #1
Amarr assaults are to use the viziam scrambler rifle or other single shot variants.
save the assault scrambler rifles for the Amarr commando (which is a beauty to see with that super fast reload)
Rule #2
Always have a high armor dps sidearm when running with primary laser tech, it will give you that extreme dps on both ends of a 1v1, and its great for cutting down those jumpy desperate tangos up close. (Submachine gun/magsec smg)
Fittings for the amarr assault come in so many variations. it depends on what you are trying to do.
we know that lasers and scramblers are excellent choices for a main weapon with this suit, so fitting the rest of the suit around that premise is vital for success.
for instance:
A viziam scrambler rifle does massive damage, and with this suit you can really make the best out of every shot. meaning, you will use less ammo than with other weapons.
so: armor rep nanovives are a great option, even the 70/s reps.
this gives you 2 or 3 spots where you can fort up and defend objectives very well. The scrambler has phenominal range to keep enemy squads from advancing towards you while out in the open.
sometimes I shield tank the suit, but usually I run 2 enhanced damage mods on the suit to give my shots a better punch on armor based units.
tanking with armor on this suit is becoming more flexible with every update. soon reactive plates will be even easier to fit, but if you are running rep nanos then you could still be very comfortable with enhanced and complex regular plates.
shotgun scouts are a pain in the ass when using this suit, but with a keen eye and good squadmates, you can spot those bastards and 2 shot a whole lot of them (except tanked armor scouts).
Which is why i find the magsec smg a nice compliment to the suit. it rips them apart at that speed that you need to survive a sneak attack. |

My buddy runs 1 dmg mod, 2 extenders, 2 plates and a rep. That plus a ScR+SMG and he does pretty good.

Always run a rep hive and shield extenders. The lows can have multiple combinations so run your play style. But always keep a full tanked setup for point defense when needed.
I've messed with ewar setups, speed setups, full reps etc. I prefer a little tank with kinkats and a rep.

Taken from the Assault ak.0 Registry
Been running the Sinwarden a bunch with an alternate fit, inspired by the idea from of a post of a Regenerative feature for Assault suits I switched from a more plated ak.0 fit to a more "rep tank" fit. And this suit has been doing well in Ambush, rivaling my performance pre-1.7
The biggest change apart from going from 2 plate 1 rep to 2 rep 1 plate is that the Injector has replaced the scanner in my equipment slot as pretty much a ghetto scanner (coined by my good friend Noobsniper the2nd) as it will give me an indication if a sneaky clacky scout is killing my blues in a 30m radius. It's also a nice way to get 60 free WPs.
This is the fit.
Sinwarden v1.8
L: Complex Armor Repairer L: Complex Armor Repairer L: Enhanced Armor Plate
H: Complex Light Damage Modifier H: Complex Light Damage Modifier H: Complex Shield Extender
LW: Viziam Scrambler Rifle SW: Ishukone Assault SMG
G: C-7 Flux Grenade E: Wiyrkomi Nanite Injector
CPU: 429/459 PG: 87/92
Shields: 223 Armor: 421 Armor Repair Rate: 12.50 HP/s
I run it like a scout with no cloak, always sticking to cover and keeping mobile. Sadly enough it has approximately the same Shield and Armor values as my Gal Scout. Damage mods are still key, even more so now, to make sure the ScR can punch through as much armor as possible before switching out to the Sidearm to end all Sidearms, the Ishukone.
Try it out and tell me what you think. This furthers my support for a regenerative style feature for assault suits, allowing them to constantly keep up the front lines given they have enough down time to regenerate their stuff, this makes the high value targets to take out quickly because if left alone they will outlast and destroy all the other frames.

Tibs, looking forward to the rep buff? I know I am.
The idea of a nanite injector as a warning for dead blues is an interesting one. Not exactly failsafe but it could be useful.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.
