Gallente scout getting nerf will cause more people use other scouts more often. This will mostly hurt all scouts but not caldari (mine).
To avoid cal scans (2x enchancers) other scouts will need 2x damps + cloak including gal scout (3 to hide from gallog+¡ scans). That means thier bonus wont really matters at all (they go down to 18db with compx damp and cloak, cal scans at 17db), + they will need to eqiup rep which leaves 1 slot for other module.
Maybe gall scout were overdone, but i kinda liked tbier bonus as they always were hidy type. Would rather see tbem witb thier 25% bonus, 2hp/s rep but with hotfix alpha cloaks.
All this will sooner or later cause to Cal scout nerf. |

Who cares? I say it's a good thing if Cal Scouts aren't scannerinas. People don't realize that it's EASY to evade a Gal Logi. The focused scanner only works once every 40 seconds and only scans a specific area.
In fact I have a thread in Features and Ideas calling for the Caldari's precision to be toned down. It's completely unfair that a Cal Scout doesn't even have to try and instantly detect any scout that's not Gallente within up to 60 meters with range amps.
I think to counteract profile dampeners the Cal Scout should have to sacrifice more high slots for precision enhancers. Period.

My conclusion is that cal and gal should have other bonus because e-war is just to powerful to belong to 2 suit, all dropsuit should be able to e-war if fitted properly, of course light frame dropsuits are more suitable to EW , it's the frame role.
Base stats of scout frame should be toned down a bit and cal and gal should get another bonus set.

The changes in cloak will make it harder to field a dampened scout that is still effective except the gal scout.
I foresee more scanners being used again until all scouts are useless except the gal scout.

The triple low slots are of great utility. I use the militia amarr light frame all the time. It's a durable cheap useful dropsuit.

The Alpha hotfix is stupid. What is in it is fine. CCP can change stuff it's their game.
It's stupid because they are changing MULTIPLE NUMBER VALUES on singular items and gameplay styles.
Anytime in the history of 2 years of DUST, CCP has changed multiple Number values on items with the goal of "Balance" Or "Tweaking" the game has caused MASSIVE un forseen side effects, turning balanced items into OP items or Rendering items completely useless and un competitive.
CCP had a chance to make small changes server side to affect balance and then see how it pans out... How a small balance tweak works after a week or two of community play testing.
Instead CCP is going in with a ******* machine gun spraying and hitting everything they can on they way... They havent learned ONE ******* THING from 2 years of epic fails on this title. |
