For the record the math on a min scout with two complex dampeners and a proto cloak while activated would look like:
Proto Cloak Math with 2 dampeners: (35 * .9) - (35 * .25) - (35 * (.25 *.87)) - (35 * .15)
Adv Cloak Math with 2 dampeners: (35 * .9) - (35 * .25) - (35 * (.25 *.87)) - (35 * .075)
Proto Cloak Math with 3 dampeners: (35 * .9) - (35 * .25) - (35 * (.25 *.87)) - (35 * (.25 * .57)) - (35 * .15)
Adv Cloak Math with 3 dampeners: (35 * .9) - (35 * .25) - (35 * (.25 *.87)) - (35 * (.25 * .57)) - (35 * .075)
*With proto cloak and 2 dampeners on Min Scout: 31.5 - 8.75 - 7.6125 - 5.25 = 9.8875 (likely rounded to 10)
*with adv cloak and 2 dampeners on min scout: =12.5125 (likely rounded to 13)
*Withouot cloak and 2 dampeners on min scout: = 15.1375 (rounded between 15 to 16 depending on CCP)
*With proto cloak and 3 dampeners on Min Scout: =4.9 (likely rounded to 5)
*with adv cloak and 3 dampeners on min scout: =~7.7 (likely rounded to 8)
*Withouot cloak and 3 dampeners on min scout: =~10.1 (likely rounded between 10 and 11)
*A cal scout with 2 complex precision enhancers scans at: 27 - 8 - 7 = 12 db scan
*3 complex precision enhancers =8 db scan
Final assessment is my min scout fit will likely be 3x complex dampeners with a advanced cloak
OR
2x complex dampeners with a proto cloak
Gonna have to fiddle around and see which fit is the most important or effective to win and what situations warrant each fit type.

Thank you for putting in the effort, but here is a more complete scanning table from another thread.

It hasn't been updated. I put the updated numbers so BOOYEAH. No, but seriously. Didn't see that, thanks.

Numbers are never rounded in dust or eve, that's only a function of the displays. You can deal fractions of a point of damage.

I didn't realize that. Some were something like 7.99875 or very close so I rounded.
I also updated the numbers.
A min scout would have to run Proto Cloak with 3x complex dampeners to get by a 3x precision enhanced Cal Scout (assuming one would take this risk of being paper thin).

Scans do in fact round up.
If someone has a dB of 34.5 and you scan at 34.9, they both round up to 35 and the scanner wins the tie.

Here is the thing. I've looked all over the forums and have found nothing indicating a "minimum" scan precision OR a "minimum" scan profile level.
His math is wrong. 4 scan precisions on the new Cal Scout would look like the below equation. Remember that the cal scout has a base precision of 40db and after the 10% bonus from the core skill it would be 36db.
36 - (40* .15) - (40 * .25) - (40 * (.25 * .87)) - (40 * (.25 * .57)) - (40 * (.25 * .28)) = 2.8
36 - 6 - 10 - 8.7 - 5.7 - 2.8 = 2.8
Now, maybe there is a minimum and I don't know about it and can explain why his sheet says a cal scout with 4 precision enhancers would scan at 14db. Maybe CCP can shed light on this. If the minimum can be below 14 then his/her math is wrong. So proto cal scouts would look as follows:
No Precision enhancer: 30db
1x Complex Precision Enhancer: 20db
2x complex precision enhancers: 11.3db
3x complex precision enhancers: 5.6db
4x complex precision enhancers: 2.8db

your calculations are wrong. bonuses are mutliplicative not additive.
that means that the correct math for this is:
profilevalue * (1-dampbonus) * (1-[dampbonus*stacking penalty]) etc.
thus for example -a min scout with max skills and 2 proto damps has 35 * 0.9 (profile dampening skill) * 0,75 (first proto dampener) * 0,7825 (second damp stacking penalized with 87%) = 18,4865625
-a min scout with max skills and 3 proto damps has 35 * 0.9 (profile dampening skill) * 0,75 (first proto dampener) * 0,7825 (second damp stacking penalized with 87%) * 0,8575 (third damp stacking penalized with 57%) = 15,85222734375 |

Can confirm that these are correct. OP, your numbers are wrong
Edit: as sidenote: stacking penalty applies from lowest to highest damp. Example: if you fit 1 pro, 1 adv and 1 std the stacking will be: 100% for std, 87% for adv and 57% for pro. another example: pro/pro/std will be 100% std, 87% pro and 57% pro.

Thanks. I didn't realize that the percentage bonus did not apply to the base value and applied to the remaining. So my numbers ARE wrong. I appreciate it.
