I stopped being a dedicated sniper about a month into playing this game and went into logistics. So, while it was a fairly impressive display of non-Thale's sniping (at least 1/2 of the kills were headshots) and netted me close to half a million ISK in proto tears, I'm not entirely thrilled that the most kills I ever got was from sniping and not more conventional fighting. (Then again I guess I didn't become a logi because of my amazing gungame... I average about 4-5 kills a game at best ) Quitting cold turkey was impossible. My best bout ever was actually my very first day playing DUST. I went 26-1 sitting in a turret and camping a red CRU that for whatever reason they just kept pouring out of. I had no idea what I was doing (as evidenced by the fact I was in a turret installation.) When I wasn't shooting at the redberry's I was shooting at the enemy MCC. Yes, I achieved this with a Thale's in a Domination match, but not once have I ever come close--even with a cloaked Proto GalScout fit with a CR or SG. I'm a scrub.

I was in a log fit but the squad I was with were great, so have to give a good deal of the credit to them. What felt even better than breaking 20 for me as someone who runs logi a lot: breaking 4000 WP. Went 4400+ in a Dom match a month or two ago. I was so damn proud, I took photos and MMS'ed them to my friends (even ones that don't play dust). :D

Still, first few weeks out of 1.8 I broke 40 kills with my Minmatar Sentinel/Commando combination And just a few days ago I broke a 50 kill with my HMG. 54/7...just wish I had recorded it. I have the stats page recorded but not the game itself (it started out really boring so I didn't hit the button). But honestly as a scout it doesn't matter how much you die really. As long as they're cheap suits and you're killing two people for every death, you're contributing to the team and being an annoyance for your opponents. Not using a cloak makes it more impressive as anyone that can get 40+ kills with a cloak really isn't that great. 7162 wp with a Repair Tool! List of Legion Feedback Threads!
